INTERDISCIPLINARY PROJECT
Andaman and Nicobar Island had once been infamous for the presence of the Cellular
Jail, where the political prisoners and freedom fighters were sentenced. It had small
cells with no window at all. These cells deprived the prisoners of not only their right to
move around freely, buy also suppressed their faculty of hearing, looking and sense of
time. Keeping in mind the Poem “Birdie, Will You Pet?”, write a letter to your friend
describing the Importance of freedom in one’s life. Be it made of gold or plain concrete,
a cage if nothing more than a mere jail.
