How to view the models


Guidelines for using Sketchfab
The models are hosted on a platf orm called Sketchf ab which allows you to interact with them using your normal
web browser and some simple navigational controls. You an even view them in VR (Virtual Reality) if you have
the necessary headset.

Depending on your network, the models can take a f ew seconds to download.

To get a f eel f or the interf ace, click on or tap the play button in the middle of the Sketchf ab viewer. Lef t click
and drag (with a mouse) or use one f inger to drag (with a touch screen). See how this enables you to rotate
the model in all directions and ‘orbit’ it as a viewer.

• If you want to zoom in, double click on the model (with a mouse) or double tap (with a touch screen).
To zoom out, double click or double tap on the background.

• To zoom around, use the scroll wheel or CTRL lef t click (with a mouse), or pinch in/out (with a touch
screen). When you want to reset the camera, click on the ? (Help) icon in the bottom right corner of
the screen.

• If you want to pan lef t and right, right click (or SHIFT lef t click f or a Mac) and drag (with a mouse) or
use a two f inger drag (with a touch screen).

You may want to ‘walk’ around the model. If so, click on the Settings icon at the bottom right corner of the
screen and select ‘Navigation’ > ‘First Person’. Once you’re in this mode, use the keyboard arrow keys to move
around the screen (or W, A, S, D) or a one f inger drag (on a touch screen). You can also use the lef t mouse
button and adjust the speed with the mouse wheel.

If you want to reset the camera view, click on Help which gives you a reset button at the bottom of the screen.

Extra f eatures (in the tool bar in the bottom lef t corner of the screen) you may f ind helpf ul are:
• View in VR mode
• Fullscreen – you can also press the F key to do this.
