include key structural elements and language features (EN10WC-
IIb13.2)

I. Objectives
Given the lesson and activities, the students are expected to do the following with at
least 75% level of accuracy:

a. define and identify exposition, its’ structures, and features;


b. Express personal viewpoints and experiences through their choice of topics and
supporting examples.
c. explain the importance of learning how to write an expository essay

 Brainstorm- no particular order
 Arrange them in a coherent sequence
that brings out your stand.
• Step 3: Collect the evidence you will need
for each point:
 Quote statistics
 Give examples

 Include a moral statement
 Tell a “real life” story that illustrates
your point

DRINKING COFFEE
Drinking coffee, especially in the morning
while reading newspaper, is really an
enjoyable activity to do. However, drinking
coffee to much is not good for our health.

Firstly, it may be addictive and ultimately may
result in adrenal exhaustion. In short term,
coffee gives benefits of more energy, but long
term my result in a crash, after each
consumption to lower levels of energy than
previously thereby necessitating another cup,
etc.
Secondly, it may make our immune system
low. Coffee hampers the absorption of
essential minerals and vitamins such as
magnesium, zinc, iron, and potassium.
Thirdly, drinking coffee to much can
contribute to many kinds of sickness. It can
cause carries in the teeth. The caffeine in
coffee may aggravate osteoporosis by leaching
calcium from the bones. Long term coffee
drinkers often develop liver function disorders.
It also decreases quality of sleep.

In conclusion, it is not good for us to drink


coffee most of the time.
