FAULT MASSAGES
LED INDICATION ON EMERGENCY BOARD
Fault handling

At present, the system does not yet display all detectable faults.

The description is based on software version 1.11 of the Vector Control.

It is intended as a help for the elimination of displayed messages and for the systematic fault
search.

The fault display is always composed of a code and of the corresponding message.

The four-character alpha code is composed as follows:

XxxX
X : Report sector
xx : Number of message
X : Type of message

Example: P01M
P = Pump (concrete pump)
01 = Number of message
M = Message (info)

Fault handling

The following sectors are reported:

B = Boom (placing boom)

D = Diesel engine (vehicle engine)
M = Machine (general machine control)
O = Optional (optional machine functions)
P = Pump (concrete pump)
R = Remote (remote-control system)
S = System (Vector Control)

The following types are reported:

M = Message (info)
L = Low Level Fault (minor fault)
H = High Level Fault (severe fault)

B01M Slewing gear limitation active!

Description:
This message is displayed when the the slewing gear reaches the righthand or lefthand end
position.
No signal is then present at input DI43 or DI44.

The message is displayed independent of the mode of operation.

Effect:
The slewing movement is stopped. In addition, the horn is sounded as long as the joystick
(slew) on the remote-control box is actuated.

Remedial action:
Leave the slewing range in opposite direction.

Possible cause of message:

Contact S1 or S4 of gear switch –S152 is actuated.
Open circuit in branch –X18/44 – 56
Open circuit in branch –X18/44 – 20

M04L Boom circuit oil filter contaminated! Replace filter!

Description:
The message is displayed when no signal is present at input DI41.
Precondition:
Fuse –F18 must be OK, oil temperature must be > 30°C.
If the Vector Control detects a defective temperature sensor, fault M04L is displayed also at
oil temperatures <= 30°C.

Effect:
Reporting

Remedial action:
Replace oil filter

Possible fault causes:

Filter contaminated,
Pressure switch –S123 defective,
Open circuit in branch –X18 29/17

M36H Safety shutoff in the event of hydraulic oil overtemperature!

Description:
The message is displayed if the oil temperature is greater than the value which is
parameterized in the hydraulic oil overtemperature parameter (Parameter concrete pump
control). The default value is 95°C.

Effect:
An emergency stop is triggered. The fault must be acknowledged at the display panel.
The oil cooler is switched on.

Remedial action:
Check oil temperature, cool hydraulic oil by auxiliary means, wait until oil temperature has
dropped, reduce pump output.

Possible fault causes:

Oil temperature too high,
Temperature sensor –B122 defective,
Open circuit in branch –X18 52/64
