10
In this section, you will learn how to create a table visualization. The table in this
11
section will list out the values for landscape, product, and vendor. A table like this
12
can be useful in helping you discover the fields and values in your data set.

18 The steps here assume you are resuming the lab from the
19 previous steps.

Please perform the following steps.

Step 1.1: Select the button to edit the dashboard you created in Section 1.

Step 1.2: Select the button to create a new visualization and add
it to your dashboard; select Create New from the pop-up menu that
appears.

Step 1.4: Enter a title for the visualization: Landscape + Product

In the next steps, you will add dimensions and measures. Pay
attention to the instructions carefully because their behavior is
affected depending on how you select them.

This will focus the list of fields based on your search. You will
add Landscape as a dimension in the next steps.

Step 1.6: Expand Event(1) and select Landscape from the list of results by clicking
directly on the word.

Steps

1
Be careful not to click too far to the right of the term as you may
2
inadvertently select the pivot option or vertical ellipses instead.

Notice that as soon as you click on the term, Landscape Event

appears in the In Visualization section of the builder.

Steps Step 1.7: Under Available Dimensions, overtype your previous search for
1
landscape with a new search for product, then expand the Event drop-
down.
2

7 The list of results should immediately update to show fields that

8 include the word “product”. See the next image as a reference.

These options allow you to enable pivots and field-based

measures. You will add a measure for Product in the next step.

review the default filter while also reviewing the dimensions and
measures.
