SAP GUI

SAP GUI (Graphical User Interface) is the front-end software that allows users to access SAP
systems and perform various tasks, such as creating and running reports, entering and
processing transactions, and managing data.
It allows users to use various SAP applications by providing easy to use graphical interface.

Types of SAP GUI


SAP GUI for Windows : SAP GUI for Windows is designed specifically for the Windows
operating system, providing a Windows-like user experience and it is platform dependent.
SAP GUI for Java : SAP GUI for Java is platform independent and works on any system
that supports Java Runtime Environment (JRE).
SAP GUI for HTML : SAP GUI for HTML is accessible wherever a web browser is
available. It operates using the Internet Transaction Server (ITS) on the server side and a
web browser on the client side.

Note:
SAP GUI for Windows and SAP GUI for Java can be downloaded from the SAP
Marketplace and installed on local devices.
SAP GUI for HTML requires a web browser and we should activate the services on the
application server.

WEBGUI ACTIVATION
Steps to activate webgui for html
Step 1:
Go to SITSPMON t-code and set the parameter itsp/enable = 1

Step 2 :

AKASH HS
Navigate to SICF t-code and activate the service mimes and webgui
Follow the path to activate the services

default_host->sap->public->bc->its->mimes (Activate service).

default_host->bc->gui->sap->its->webgui (Activate service).

Step 3 :

AKASH HS
Go to SE80 t-code and navigate to Internet Services section within Repository browser select
SYSTEM and WEBGUI services right click on the selected service and publish the service.

SYSTEM-> publish -> Complete Service

WEBGUI -> publish -> Complete Service

Step 4 :

AKASH HS
Go to SICF transaction code to verify the activation status of the WEBGUI service.

default_host->bc->gui->sap->its->webgui (Test Service)

Step 5 :

AKASH HS
The system is now activated with WEBGUI for HTML.
