NOTE: By default this new setting will be enable, so it will prompt for Power On
Password on a Wake on Lan event.

NOTE: Due to security changes, after loading this BIOS, older versions cannot be
installed.

This release improved Security Updates implementation. HP strongly recommends


promptly
transitioning to this BIOS version. Due to security changes, after this BIOS
update has been installed, previous BIOS versions cannot be reinstalled.

- Fixed issue where TPM was enabled without Setup Password enabled.
� Fixed issue where AMT Enable was getting grayed in F10 when not properly
provisioned.
- Fixed Wake On LAN (usually wake by magic packet) to Disable (BIOS) Fast Boot so
Remote Wakeup Boot Source will execute.
- Fixed BiosConfigUtility in setting Legacy and UEFI Boot Sources.
- Fixed the Master Boot Record Security in F10 Menu and to allow MBRBackup to be
updated.
- Updated the BIOS Power On support.
- Updated USB support.

Version 2.99
- This allows the customer to flash to the next Major Version v3.xx.

This BIOS is to be used to allow the customer to flash to the next
Major Version of the BIOS, v3.xx. The customer cannot flash from
previous versions, v2.98 or earlier to v3.xx, without first flashing
v2.99 onto the system. If the customer needs to flash back from v3.xx
to an earlier v2.xx, this can occur. However, to flash to v3.xx,
v2.99 MUST be flashed first, as previously stated.

Version 2.98
- Flash Back Restrictions to previous BIOS versions.

This BIOS includes critical updates. Once the system is updated to this
version, rollback to previous versions is restricted. This restriction
also applies to BIOS recovery files.

- Added UEFI and UEFI Variables security update.


- Fixed for AMT Watchdog Timers when disabled in F-10 the timers are no longer
active.
- Fixed the Boot Order status and sequence listed in CPQSetup.txt to be the same as
in
F10 Menu, Setup.
- Fixed the possible TXT/TPM issue in F10 Menu where both TXT and TPM options could
be
greyed-out in the F10 Setup.
- Fixed intermittent S3 hang during the resume cycle.
- Fixed the Boot Order displaying incorrectly in F10=Setup when the Network
Controller
is Disabled.
- Fixed the TPM1.2 device not being accessible in Device Manager and TPM.MSC after
resetting the TPM.

- Initial BIOS version for Windows 8 systems. BIOS version numbers less than 2.80
do not
include support for Windows 8 features.

* NOTE: Downgrading the BIOS to versions before v2.83 is not allowed if Secure
Boot is enabled.
Windows 8 new BIOS features such as Legacy Support disable, Secure Boot
and Fast Boot
are not supported on lower numbered BIOS versions. *

Version 2.56
- Added support for Stringent Password option (Windows 7 BIOS only).
- Added a new option ("Disable USB") to the F10 Setup / Storage Options / Removable
Media Boot
setting, which prevents booting from USB devices regardless of the boot order
settings
(Windows 7 BIOS only).
- Fixed an issue with the F10 Setup user interface for Boot Order, where making
more than one change
at a time could cause other unexpected boot order changes.
- Corrected the System Management BIOS type 1 data field for 'Wakeup Type' to
properly display
'Remote' when the system is powered on by a Wake-on-LAN event.

Version 2.53
- Adds support for models without microphone and speakers.
- Fixes an issue with button retasking on AIO systems.
- Fixes REPSETUP support for disabling Front USB ports on AIO systems.

Version 2.51
- Initial BIOS version for All-in-One (AIO) systems. Earlier BIOS versions are not
supported for AIO.
- Added non-English keyboard mapping for F10 Setup System ID strings (Asset Tag and
Ownership Tag).
- Fixed an issue where applying defaults with a setup password present incorrectly
sets the
integrated graphics to enabled, when the primary graphics is a PCI Express card.
The normal setting
is disabled, except for ultra-slim form factors.
- Fixed an issue with AMT console connections to F10 Setup not properly
initializing admin mode.
- Corrected F10 Setup restriction on disabling features required for the Trusted
Execution Technology
(TXT) when the feature is enabled.
- Fixed POST support for USB keyboards when USB port security locks all ports.
