Tutorial For StardollCC UPDATED
Tutorial For StardollCC UPDATED
Wrong! Right!
✓
Before starting, some general rules…
• There are some more tutorials on how to get the xml link
and more, but you will have to find them among the files. I
will not present them here because, mainly, they are
outdated.
• Keep track of your slot’s number, sometimes it will be
placed first when you design and in reality, it’s not the first
slot. Keep in mind the number of your slot and its order.
• Keep track of your “[ ]”
• The data between “{ }” is per individual hair piece, each
hair piece has its own data. For example, 3 hair strands will
have 3 individual data “{pattern},{pattern},{pattern}”
(obviously mode detailed than just “pattern” writing).
• Each “{pattern}” aka each hair piece is separated by a
comma (by this , ) keep track of your commas when
combining codes.
Answering some questions
• “Can you teach me how to buy my designs for 0sds???”
I’m not sure about that, and even If I would be, I will not
teach you that. Therefore, it’s impossible to do so.
• “Are there any more tricks?” Yes, but do you really, really
need them? You can also use your imagination to find
them.
• “Can I erase the weird shapes and highlights from the
strands?” No. Or at least I did not find out how to, YET.
• “Can I create new shapes?” No, because it’s not
implemented into Stardoll, therefore not very possible to
change it ATM.
• “Will I get deleted if I do what this tutorial teaches me?” in
theory, yes, because you are breaking the one-stop-rules
of Stardoll if you get caught. If you really want to use it, be
realistic in your parts and original price.
Windows and MAC
• I only work with Windows, but the programs should work
with MAC as well. You need to find the proper commands
for it if you use a MAC.
• For example, the “Ctrl” command on Windows is ⌘ key on
MAC, as a quick google search says:
• “Instead, the Macintosh equivalent of the Windows
Ctrl key is the ⌘ key. It's right next to the space bar.”
Starting the tutorial…
Obtaining, opening
and using StardollCC
• After you download the program, you must
unzip it/extract files
(for this example, you can extract it directly on
your desktop)
1. Drag the Zip file on your desktop
2. Right-click and click on
“Extract all”
3. You can browse for your preferred
location or simply choose
“desktop/STARDOLLCC”
Keep the files open!
Do not close!
• After extracting, your files should always be
open, otherwise the program will not work. Do
not close the folder, keep it open
• In case you do not see the programs, you
have to restart your computer.
• The files should look like this:
• Note: Closing the files will lead to the
application crash, do NOT close the folders.
Right click > Open with > MX5
• Right click on “app”
• Choose “open with”
• Choose your compatible browser, in this
case Maxthon 5
• REMEMBER: You need a Java running
browser to run StardollCC as well, so
you can use something else instead of
MX5.
Program’s first
impression
• The program looks like
this, now that you opened
it, you need to open
Charles Proxy to fill in the
data.
• Log in on Stardoll.
• I will not provide a tutorial on how to
download it, because it’s too easy. Just
search on google “Charles Proxy” and find
their original website.
• After you’ve log in on Stardoll, you can
Open open Charles Proxy as well. Wait for it to
open
Charles • free license Charles Proxy runs for maximum
proxy 30 minutes, afterwards it will automatically
close, keep track of time.
• If you already have your parts designed,
you can open Charles proxy. If not,
design your creations first, and then
follow the steps.
• Once you open Charles proxy properly
(after waiting for 10 seconds or more),
Some make sure that you entered the
StarDesign page on stardoll, or refresh
cleaning on any page on stardoll, so that Charles
Proxy can track your activity
Charles • Too many things: To avoid missclicking
Proxy on anything else, search for
http://stardoll.com and right click on it,
choose focus (more details on next
slide).
Right click > Focus
Note: If you designed in StraightUp you CANNOT combine it with other types of hair. No, you CANNOT combine
a Basic hair part with a StraightUp hair part into one. Basic hair type holds a different data than StraightUP, any
code needs to have THE SAME DATA TYPE, therefore impossible to combine 2 different hair types into one part.
Note: Be sure that you match the hair type, if you designed on StraightUP and accidentally chose “Basic” you
will end up with an absolute mess.
Pattern Data
the parts • Any code after that should be either the 2nd
base, shadings, some details etc.
layering
• Your very last code/s should be your last
details.
• Imagine it’s just as if you’re selling it in your
starbazar, and you’re telling people the proper order
of your wig to be able to wear it in BP.
For this tutorial
4. Click on
“handleStoredDesign.php?action=save”
Follow the steps 4. Click on
“handleStoredDesign.php?action=save”
precisely! 5. Choose “Contents” tab (green square)
Follow the steps 6. Chose “Form” tab (red square)
7. Double click on patternData (blue arrow)
precisely! and copy everything after “pattern”:
Follow the steps precisely!
10. Your data should be shown as “Invalid” because you did not add
the last bracket “]”, if you add it, it will show as Valid. DO NOT ADD
IT YET! OTHERWISE YOU CANNOT COMBINE YOUR PARTS!
Follow the steps precisely!
11. Add a comma after your data to continue combining wigs
• You can keep adding new codes over and over again, by repeating the steps, all you need to
remember is:
• The “[“ opens your data, placed at the start of your code
• The “]” closes your data, put on the end of your code
• You cannot use the codes without them, do NOT have more than one of each!
• Always make sure that you have the “{“ and “}” to each little code, and more importantly,
always put the comma “ , ” between each “} , {“
• If you have a “}{“ in your code and the data is invalid, I suggest copy-paste it in a note
pad, search specifically for “}{“ and edit your code by adding the comma “ , “
• Your codes should always have “ },{ “ in them, and NOT “}{“ otherwise it’s invalid.
Changing colors
• You need to look again at your
codes, in this case only
the “c”= and “c2”= matters.
• Look again at slide
25 to remember.
• What you need for this:
a convertor from HEX to
Decimals
• I personally use
Hexadecimal to Decimal
Converter (rapidtables.com)
Choose your
HEX color code
• For this step, you need to have
the color code of your desired
color, you can use Photoshop
or any other program in which
you can select/obtain your HEX
code of your desired color.
• In my case I used this website
and copied the #code
Convert your
HEX code
• After I copied it, I inserted the
code on the convertor to get my
Decimals code (Decimal
number)
• Note: your code can range
between 4 to 10 or more digits.
• 1. You can design a single strand of hair,
copy the code, and insert it on
Obtain any StardollCC
pattern data • OR
• After
Your new code
• After obtaining your new code,
repeat the steps (insert it on
StardollCC > copy data > edit/create
something in stardesign > chose
HandleStored> click compose >
replace the old code with your new
code > click execute > refresh SD)
Deleting unwanted hair
strands or pieces
• You got an annoying hairstrand
blocked behind the strands wall?
You can check the “x” and “y” codes
and see the average
Spotting the problem
• You can use notepad to see which hair strand seems to be out of
your average numbers, to me it is clear that “X”:133.4 is not good,
while the average “x” is not over 45. Sometimes you cannot rely on
both X and Y. Remember, this is an XY axis.
Select and delete
• Select the entire faulty string (the data between the brackets “{ }”
including one of the commas “ , “ attached to it)
• Do NOT forget the comma! Delete it! Do not have more than one.
Replace data
• Replace your data with your newly obtained data and
repeat the steps
(paste it on StardollCC > Generate data > copy > edit
something on Stardoll > go to Charles Proxy > chose
HandleStored > click compose > replace the code with
your newly made code > click execute > refresh sd)
There’s more, but that’s it!
• There’s more to it than what I’ve explained here, but these are the basics
so far, and the most important steps! If you find any issues don’t hesitate
to contact me!
