Access Software Manual

I. Login

User Name: pegasus


Password: pongee

1、 Main Screen Button Introduction:

Reader setting (or Setting  Reader setting) (Set up all related configuration in

reader)

User (or File  User)(Add/ edit/ delete user data)

Show all (or Access record  Show all) (Show all received events & export to other

file / excel file / printer)

Start collecting access data (Auto collect events from readers/controllers)

Stop collecting data (Stop collecting events from readers/controllers)

Show/Hide real time data: show or hide the received events in real time status

Show/Hide list data: show or hide the received events in list

Clear list data: clear the received events in list

2、 Connection Setting (Setting=> connect setting):


A. Connect mode : Local

Comport: Com1~Com4。
Baud rate:must same as reader
(※Note:If the baud rate are not the same, the software can’t
communicate with reader.)

B. Connect mode: TCP/IP

Edit IP Address. Select IP address. Press connect, you will know if the connection
status.

Adding new IP address


press “edit IP address”, click right button of mouse, it appeared “add, edit, delete”
function. Click “ add”, then press OK to confirm this command.

Key in the IP address & area, then press OK to confirm. New adding is completed.

3、 Reader Setting: Add a new reader, reader parameter setting, up load


data/parameter to reader, down load reader data…related setting.

 Description of icon

Refresh: re-find all readers.

Set Parameter: up load parameters to each reader

Inquiry parameter: inquiring parameters of each reader.

Upload time zone data: uploading time zone setting to each reader.

Adjust time: adjusting each reader’s time & date

Upload holiday setting: uploading holiday setting to each reader

Open door all:open all doors

 Right button of mouse


Click right button of mouse after choosing the reader, you will get the
function list as below:

Add: add one new reader


Delete: delete one reader
Initialize (as off-line mode): Initializing the system as real-time mode state.
Collect Data: receiving events from the reader you selected.
Set parameter: upload parameters to the reader you wanted.
Inquiry Parameter: check parameter details of the reader
Adjust time: adjust the time & date of the reader
Upload Holiday Setting: upload holiday setting to the reader
Upload Time Zone Data: upload time zone to the reader

Upload Time Zone for Automatic Change Open Door Mode: upload the time zone
setting to reader. It’s not compatible with access time zone. Not support to every reader.
Open Door: open the door

Property: set up parameter, description, address and time zone of the reader.

 Add controller and property:


Step 1:click the right button of mouse in reader setting per above picture.
Step 2:choose add
Step 3:set parameters you need.
Step 4 : click“genernal”

Step 5: setting the controller address, must the same as controller.


Step 6: definite controller’s name
Step 7 Time of waiting for upload personal access, initial 400 means upload
waiting time is 0.4 seconds. Waiting time for data receiving, initial is 200, means 0.2
seconds.

※IP Address:Select“TCP/IP”in connection setting, it will show the IP address in


controller property.

 Parameters(the parameters will be changed by the different reader)

 Compare Card No. Mode

Check the card number with reader: suggested to use this mode
Check the card number with software: it takes seconds to open the door after
present the card

 Open Door Mode

Read Only: read the card no.


Read Card with Pin: read the card no. & key in the door pin no.
Read Card or pin: read card no. or door pin no.

 Enable comparing card no. : select this function when the reader is set up
as access control used.
 Deducted value per time: set the controller deduct value per time.

4、 Personal & Time Zone Data Base Setting


A. Personal setting: setting user’s basic information.( work with personal access map)

Searching Button

Sorting by different condition, the user’s data will appear quickly.

Adding personal setting by reading card

Press this icon, personal data will be collected by soft ware and add a new card no.
for the user. Below screen will pop up to confirm again.

Add Card No. in batch mode

Delete Card No. in batch mode

Export: Export the personal data to text file or excel file.

Import: Import the personal data from text file or excel file.(Must be the

export file format)

Click personal setting, will get below screen:

Add: add a new personal data


Edit: edit a personal data
Delete: delete a personal data

※ This delete function only delete the personal data in soft ware, the card still keep
its validity.

Cancel the personal access map: cancel the personal access map in reader

Upload personal access map: upload personal card no in reader

Upload access map: upload all personal card numbers to reader

Show history records: show the specified person in/out evnets

5、 Floor Setting
You can set as elevator group with access 40 floors.

Add : add new elevator group

Edit : change elevator group setting

Delete : delete one elevator group

6、 Access Group Setting

7、 Inquire(Combined Inquiry)

The inquiry conditions include door name, door status, access date & personal. Choice one
condition to get the inquiry report.
