The Latest Residential Sales application can be used to narrow a search of property sales by defining
property attributes including square footage, price range, and year built. The resulting list of properties
can then be used to help determine the fair market value of a subject or prospective property. Please
note that the application only shows the most recent sale on a property and properties that were
flagged as being fair market value sales after 2002. To find multiple sales on a property, please continue
to use Property Data Online.
On Start
When the Latest Residential Sales app first loads, users will several different sizes of circles. The circles
represent the relative number of sales that have occurred in the general area of the dot. When users
zoom in or search for a property, the dots will be replaced with the boundary of the sale.

Navigation
Navigating the map can simply be done with a mouse or a few tools provided on the map.
Pan
Click and hold anywhere on the map to pan. Release to stop.
Zoom In/Out
To zoom in or out use the “+” or “-” tool located in the upper left corner of the map. The mouse wheel
can also be used to zoom in and out by hovering the curser over the area you wish to zoom then roll the
mouse wheel forward to zoom in and backward to zoom out.
Map Tools
Search
The search tool give the user the ability to search by attributes like address, map and tax lot, account,
etc. To use the tool, you must choose the type of search you want to do from the drop down menu.
Composite
Searches Address and Street Information Example: S Oakdale Ave or 10 S Oakdale Ave
Tax Lot
Search Maplot or Account Number. Example 102343 or 413N22100
Scale Bar
The scale bar is automatically updated. As you zoom in or out, the scale bar automatically adjusts to
reflect the correct distances.
Coordinates
Coordinates are in Decimal Degrees by default. If you move your mouse over the map, the coordinates
are returned. Alternatively, if you want the coordinates at a specific point, you can click the button just
to the left of the coordinates, and then click anywhere on the map. This tool will add a point to the map,
and reflect those coordinates in the box.
Table
When you expose the table, it will show all of the data in that current map extent as long as it is turned
on in the Layer List. Notice the tabs starting at the top left of the attribute table. Click on those tabs to
view the attributes for that data.
Toolbar Tools
Toolbar tools are found in the upper right of the map.
Legend
The legend defines the symbols and layers on the map. To view the legend, click on the icon in the upper
right hand side of the map.
Layer List
The layer list allows the user to interact with the information. By using the drop down arrow next to
each layer, users can perform several different tasks including; reordering information, changing
transparencies, and opening the attribute table. The layers display properties can be turned off by
unchecking the box next to the layer.
Filter
The filter allows the user to limit the visibility of feature in a layer. Only the features that meet the
expression criteria will be visible in the map. This tool is set to open automatically when the app starts
and the sale date filter is only showing records back to 1/1/2018. To see records back to 2002, toggle off
the sale date filter.
If you want to create your own custom filters, click the button in the lower right corner and define a
filter using the available fields.
Information
The information button provides basic information about the map.
Bookmarks
The bookmarks button provides quick links that will zoom to a particular area on the map. Bookmarks
have been pre-established for a variety of locations across Jackson County.
Select
The select enable you to interactively select and highlight features on the map.
