Chapter I
INTRODUCTION
ICT will transform education in a very effective manner, from improving the
methods of teaching to enhancing student learning experiences. Since
technology develops very fast, schools will embrace the use of computers,
smartphones, and the internet in their classrooms. This will mean that there will
be an interactive and engaging environment where students will study topics in a
more dynamic manner while helping teachers to deliver lessons more effectively.
The integration of ICT tools will allow for more personalized learning
experiences, where students will progress at their own pace, enhancing both
understanding and retention of knowledge. Technology in education is also
crucial in providing access to a wide range of resources and materials that may
not be easily accessible in traditional classroom settings, helping to broaden
students' perspectives on various subjects.
This school at Beleng National High School significantly considers the use
of ICT tools in their curriculum, especially for ICT 11 and 12 students. There will
be an attempt made by this school to integrate various digital tools to support
their teaching and learning process, especially in technology-related subjects.
These tools will help develop essential skills for ICT 11 and 12 students to enter
the world of digital careers. Students will use ICT in completing their
assignments, collaborating on projects, and conducting research into subjects in
great depth. The potential of ICT tools to create a more interactive and engaging
learning environment is enormous, as they will bring real-world applications into
the classroom and allow students to engage with complex concepts in a practical
manner. For example, students will access simulations or virtual labs to
experiment with theoretical concepts, helping them to better understand how they
apply in real-life situations.
Despite the ever-growing use of ICT, it is very important to ask how
effective ICT really will be in changing the learning process. It is very important to
ask questions such as whether ICT tools will improve the learning process. How
will they apply in class? What factors will hinder them from being fully exploited?
These are critical because the availability of devices may not always be there,
teacher training may not be carried out, or the technical equipment may not work,
all of which will impact the application of ICT tools in class. While many students
may have access to various types of technology, the way these tools will be
integrated into the curriculum and how teachers will be trained to use them
effectively will ultimately determine their success in enhancing learning
outcomes. Additionally, there may be differences in the types of ICT tools used
by students depending on their level of access, which could impact the overall
effectiveness of the learning process.
This study will aim to examine the use of ICT tools at Beleng National
High School, focusing on ICT 11 and 12 students, in order to determine the
impact that ICT tools will have on their learning experience. It will explore the ICT
tools utilized, how they will be perceived by the students, and the challenges will
be encountered in using them. These will form the grounds from which this
research will help find insights for better integrating the ICT tools within the
learning process, improving educational experiences among students at Beleng
National High School ICT 11 and 12 classes. Understanding how these tools will
impact students' motivation and engagement, and identifying the challenges
students will face when using them, will be vital in ensuring that ICT is utilized to
its full potential in enhancing the learning experience. The findings from this
study will serve as a valuable resource for educators, administrators, and
policymakers to help improve the effectiveness of ICT integration in the
curriculum.

the tools but rather on how these tools will be applied in educational contexts,
gathering insights from both students and teachers.
Although the findings will be of great value, they may not represent the
experience of every student and teacher in the school. The research will focus
only on the use of ICT tools in the ICT department for the purpose of gathering
data to be used for enhancing the application of technology in the learning
environment. Findings that will continue to support increased use of ICT tools in
the classroom and that will benefit learning in general will be sought.

Ethical Considerations
The study was conducted based on the ethical requirements so that the rights
and welfare of the participants were ensured:
Informants Consent: Students were informed of the research goals, the
volunteer nature of their participation, and the right to withdraw at any time.
Consent was sought from each student before participating.
Confidentiality: The questionnaire did not take personal identifiable
information with the participants who were anonymous and kept safely their
data, hence access was strictly limited to the research team.
Voluntary participation: participation was pure voluntarism as students were
allowed to participate or not without any fear of reprisals.
Non-discriminatory participation: All 12th-grade students in the ICT class
were used to achieve the research, which automatically made it a group of
representative students without considering their academic performance and
personal background.
School Authorities Permission: The school authority permitted conducting
the Survey research. The administration of the survey using class time,
school authorities permitted the ICT teacher to administer and allowed me to
conduct the survey during class time.
Minimizing Harm: The questions in the survey were not going to cause any
pain for the students. Only educational values of using ICT tools were asked.
