Equilibrium

Introduction:
• Equilibrium, in physics, the condition of a system when neither its
state of motion nor its internal energy state tends to change with
time.
• Equilibrium, in chemistry, refers to a chemical reaction occurring in
which there is no net change in the concentration of reactants and
products.
• stable, unstable and neutral.
-A book laying flat on a table.
-A ball on top of a spherical object.
-Rolling a ball slightly so it stops soon after the movement begins.

Statical Determinacy:

•A rigid body with more external supports than required for

maintaining equilibrium condition is said to be Statically indeterminate.

•A rigid body with minimum number of supports required for

maintaining equilibrium condition is said to be Statically determinate.

•Redundant
