2. Set Theory
Definition
- A set is an unordered collection of elements.
- Example: {1, 2, 3}, {a, b, c}, {Planets in the solar system}.
Types of Sets
1. Finite Set: Limited number of elements.
2. Infinite Set: Unlimited elements.
3. Subset: All elements of one set exist in another.
4. Proper Subset: A subset that is not equal to the original set.
5. Universal Set: Contains all elements under discussion.
6. Empty Set: Contains no elements.
7. Singleton Set: A set with one element.
8. Equal Set: Sets with the same elements.
9. Equivalent Set: Sets with the same number of elements.
