To introduce basic laws, mesh & nodal analysis techniques forsolving electrical
circuits.
To impart knowledge on applying appropriate theorem for electrical circuit
analysis.
To explain transient and steady state behavior of differentcircuits
To analyze the concepts of resonance and Magnetic circuits
To understand open circuit, short circuit, transmission, hybrid parameters
and their interrelationship.
Course Outcomes: At the end of this course students will demonstrate the ability
to
CO1: Apply the basic electrical concepts to different circuits along with network
simplification Techniques
CO2: Determine the transient response of R-L, R-C, R-L-C circuits for
D.C. and A.C excitations
CO3: Analyze steady state response for various Circuits for ACexcitation.
CO4: Apply the concept of Resonance & Magnetic principles fordifferent circuits.
CO5: Evaluate network parameters for different two port networks.

Steady State Analysis of A.C Circuits: Impedance concept, phase angle, series
R-L, R-C, R-L- C circuits problem solving. Complex impedance and phasor notation
for R-L, R-C, R-L-C problem solving using mesh and nodal analysis, Star-Delta
conversion, problem solving using Laplace transforms also.
