PAPER MOSAIC HEART

DURATION: 2 WEEKS (WEEK 8 AND WEEK 9)

WEEK 8: Introduction to Mosaics and Heart Design

Objective: Students will learn about mosaics as an art form and begin designing their heart-shaped base.
Activities:

● Warm-Up: Show examples of mosaic art and discuss how small pieces come together to form a larger image.
● Instruction:
○ Explain the concept of mosaics using simple visuals.
○ Demonstrate how to cut paper into small shapes (squares, triangles, etc.) for mosaics.
○ Discuss patterns and colors that can be used to fill the heart shape.
● Class Activity:
○ Distribute pre-drawn heart outlines on A4 or A3 sheets.
○ Students will practice cutting colored paper into small pieces and arrange them around their hearts without gluing yet.

Materials Needed:
● White A4 or A3 sheets for the base.
