As a key member of ORBCOMM’s Software Quality Assurance team, you will


play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our software
solutions. You will be part of a highly motivated group that is dedicated to
delivering results across multiple platforms and architectures. Working from
our Hyderabad, India office, you'll enjoy the chance to collaborate in-person
while also experiencing the flexibility and autonomy of a hybrid work model.

What You’ll Do:

• Test & Validate: Retrieve and review requirements to create, implement,


and maintain test cases/scripts. Ensure adherence to software specifications
and quality standards.
• Collaborate: Work closely with developers and QA team members to
prevent defects throughout the development process.
• Analysis & Reporting: Track and report testing results, troubleshoot issues,
and coordinate defect resolution to ensure smooth delivery.
• Documentation: Document all testing results and analyze defects to
identify the chain of events leading to software failures.
• Continuous Improvement: Remain up-to-date on changes to software
applications, striving to maintain error-free systems and documentation.
• Communication: Provide timely status updates on testing progress and
critical issues.

Who You Are:

You’re a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can seamlessly


tackle multiple priorities. If you have:
• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical
Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• A self-motivated mindset with the willingness to "do what it takes" to
complete tasks.
• A client-focused attitude with excellent communication skills, both written
and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to
communicate solutions effectively.
• A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively within a team.
• A knack for accuracy and a high degree of attention to detail.
Then we want to meet you!

Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and Python.
• Familiarity with Performance Testing techniques.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, XML, and HTML.
• Experience with SQL and working knowledge of Oracle or MariaDB
databases.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
