Advanced features of PowerPoint


A. Fill in the blanks

1. Pressing F5 key displays the presentation from the beginning.


2. Slide Sorter view displays the miniature view of all slides in a presentation.
3. WordArt option is available in Text group of the Insert Tab.
4. Slide Sorter view is used to sort slides in a Presentation.
5. Slide Transition introduces a slide with special effects.
6. The Outline tab displays the text in a slide in Normal View.

Q2. What do you mean by animations? Write the steps to apply the animation effect to an
object in Power Point.

Ans.

The following are the steps to apply animation effects in Power point

1. Open the presentation and click on the object you want to animate.
2. Click on the Animations tab. Click the more arrow in animation group to display the
gallery of animation effect.
3. Select the required animation from the menu.

Q3. What do you mean by Transition? Write the steps to add transition effects to slide.

The following are the steps to add transition effects.


Q4. What do you mean by Morphing? Write the steps for morphing.

Q5. Differentiate between custom animation and slide transition?

Ans 5. The effects that can be seen on a slide when one slide changes to the other during the
Slide show is called slide transition.

Custom animation is a tool that is used to animate individual objects. Like text, pictures,

graphics, videos, etc., that are present on a slide.

Application Based Questions

Ans. Neha has to use transition effects to control how each slide enters and exits. To animate
each object, present in slide she can use animation feature
Ans. Amrit should go to the Transition Tab and go to Timing Group. Then he should first uncheck
the On Mouse click checkbox and then select the After checkbox and set the time he wants for
the next slide to appear automatically after certain period of time.
