8. In figure, a circle touches the side BC of ∆ABC at P and touches AB and AC produced at Q and 2
R respectively. If AQ = 5 cm, find the perimeter of ∆ABC.

9. In the given figure, TAS is a tangent to the circle, with centre O, at the point A. If OBA = 32°, 2

10. Two tangents PA and PB are drawn to the circle with centre O, such that APB = 120°. Prove 2
that OP = 2AP.

11. In the figure, ABCD is a cyclic quadrilateral and PQ is tangent to the circle at C. If BD is a 2
diameter,
DCQ = 40° and ABD = 60°, find BCP.
12. In figure, PQ is a tangent at a point C to a circle with centre O. If AB is a diameter and CAB = 2
30°, find PCA.

14. If d1, d2 (d2 > d1) be the diameters of two concentric circles and c be the length of a chord of a 2
circle which is tangent to the other circle, prove that .

15. In figure, two circles touch each other at the point C. Prove that the common tangent to the 2
circles at C, bisects the common tangent at P and Q.

16. In figure, XP and XQ are two tangents to a circle with centre O from a point X outside the circle. 2
ARB is tangent to circle at R. Prove that XA + AR = XB + BR.

17. 3
In the figure, a circle is inscribed in a quadrilateral ABCD in which B =
90°. If AD = 23 cm, AB = 29 cm and DS = 5 cm, find the radius (r) of the
circle.

18. 3
In figure, a triangle ABC is drawn to circumscribe a circle of radius 2 cm such that
the segments BD and DC into which BC is divided by the point of contact D are
the lengths 4 cm and 3 cm respectively. If area of ∆ABC = 21 cm2, then find the
lengths of sides AB and AC.
19. In figure, a circle inscribed in triangle ABC touches its sides AB, BC and AC at points D, E and F 3
