Spring 2024 Availability Instructions
Spring 2024 Availability Instructions
Login to When to Work and choose “Prefs” from the top menu.
You will see your current availability displayed when the window opens. In the bottom right-hand corner, choose “FUTURE weekly.”
A pop-up window will open. In this window, you need to choose a date. Click on the calendar icon in the upper left-hand corner. A
small calendar will open up. Navigate to February 1st and click on that date. You should see 2/1/2024 displayed in the window
next to the calendar.
Enter your availability for Monday through Sunday, using ONLY “Cannot Work” and “Prefer Working” to fill in the calendar.
To fill in the day/times by “painting” in the time slots, click on the color block labelled “prefer working” or “cannot work” then use the
paintbrush to paint in each day’s times when you are either available or unavailable.
To fill in the day/times by using the preferences grid, choose the bubble for whichever preference setting (prefer or cannot work) you want.
Then choose the day of the week from the drop down menu and enter the times you are available (or unavailable). If you have multiple
times when you are available throughout the day, enter multiple times using the same preference/day entry.
Fill out availability for Monday through Sunday from all times between 7:45am and 12:15am.
Any time outside of 7:15am and 12:15am should be in red, as should all times that you do NOT want to work.
Only green and red should be visible in your availability grid when you are finished. Hit Save when you are finished.
As a reminder, this is a template week – whatever you enter as your availability for this template week will be repeated for each
week throughout the semester, from January 24, 2024 through finals. Do not use “date specific” availability at any time during
the semester. Additionally, we will use this week's availability to backfill the schedule to January 24th (first day of the Spring
Semester).
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We can always set up a time to assist if necessary.
