1. What principles of learning were most applied?least applied?

Most applied

- The learning principle most emphasized is that learning is a cooperative and collaborative
process. The teacher consistently organizes students into groups, allowing them to freely share
their ideas. Through discussion, they explore the assigned topic and exchange thoughts,
eventually coming up with a collective answer for their presentation.

Least applied

- The learning principle "learning is the finding of personal meaning and relevance of concepts"
was the least applied. In this instance, the teacher primarily focused on explaining and sharing
their own ideas about the subject, leaving less room for students to personally connect with the
concepts.

Give instances where this these principle/s could have been applied?

- The principles could have been better applied by shifting the focus from the teacher doing most
of the work to a more student-centered approach. In contrast to a teacher who primarily
supports students in their learning, the teacher here could have allowed students to take more
initiative by contributing their own ideas to the discussion of the topic.

From among the princples of learning, which one do you think is the most importance?

- That learning is an active process. This principle emphasizes the need for students to be actively
engaged, participating in higher-order cognitive tasks like analysis, synthesis, and evaluation. In
this context, active learning strategies are recommended, encouraging instructional activities
where students are not only involved in tasks but also reflect on their actions and the learning
process.

- Student stress: The pressure to perform well on tests may result in heightened stress levels,
potentially hindering a positive learning experience.
- Incomplete understanding: Students might grasp information temporarily to pass tests but may
not retain a deeper understanding of the subject matte.
2. If you were to reteach you observed, would you be teacher- centered or student centered?
Why?

- If I were to reteach the classes I observed, I would focus on a student-centered approach. While
covering the necessary content, I’d make sure to engage students actively through interactive
activities, discussions, and encouraging questions. This approach helps students better
understand the material, think critically, and develop skills that go beyond just preparing for
tests, leading to a more meaningful learning experience.

- To teach effectively, a teacher needs to use a variety of teaching methods that support both
student and teacher success. Key practices to include are constructivism, inquiry-based learning,

Teachers should not stick to just a few methods, but instead focus on creating a student-
centered classroom where students' needs and engagement are the top priority. These practices
help make learning more effective and meaningful for all students.

class? What it easy? Difficult?
- It’s easy to find information online with just a click, but not all of it is reliable, and fake news is
common. As a teacher, it's important to be a careful researcher and only use information from
trustworthy and credible sources.
2. How did you choose which electronic resources to include here? What did you consider?
Explain. Which the new trends in education 4.0 would you like to explore more for your work
as a teacher? Why?
- I chose these electronic resources because they are essential for teaching and learning during
the pandemic. I want to explore more digital platforms, as technology is crucial for education in
these challenging times.
3. Reflect on your technology skills. What skill do you already have, and what skills would you
continue to work on to be better at utilizing education 4.0 resources?
- The skills that I have is that, I can manipulate basic computer like Microsoft word, excel,and
PowerPoint. However, I admit that I have so many things that I need to work on andgo beyond
deeper on the usage of technology such as editing fascinating videos,photoshops and film
making which I think is also an essential skill that I should also possess.

- MOOCs are invaluable for my growth, helping me discover new ideas that enhance my teaching
skills. They make learning more convenient and accessible as I prepare to become a teacher.

- Open online courses provide quality education accessible from anywhere. With an internet
connection, anyone can learn, no matter the distance.
3. How will you prepare yourself for MOOCs, as a learners, and as a teacher who may someday
teach a MOOCs?
- I will prepare myself as a learner for massive open online courses (MOCC), I willbecome
acquainted with these programs as a result of my exploration of this course

1. Why should a teacher find out If student understand the lesson while teaching is in progress?
- To avoid having to repeat information after the lesson because students didn’t understand, it’s
better for teachers to check students’ understanding during the lesson itself. This way, the
teacher can ensure the lesson is effective and students are learning as expected.
2. Why is not enough for a teacher to ask ‘’Did you understand , class?’’ when he/she intends to
check on learners’ progress?
- It's because most students, despite the fact that they don't comprehend anything, just agree
along to keep the lesson moving. Some of them are also too embarrassed to admit it or
inquire about the lesson.
3. Should teacher record result of formative assessment for grading purpose? Why or why not?
- The teacher should monitor students' progress and achievements to see how they’re doing. This
way, she can also spot anyone who is struggling with the subject.
4. Based on your observations, what formative assessment practice worked?
- It’s helpful to ask questions about the part of the lesson being discussed, as this lets the teacher
see how well students are listening and understanding that section.
5. For formative assessment, why is peer tutoring in class sometimes seen to be more effective
than teacher himself/herself doing the re-teaching or tutoring?
- Peer tutoring is often more effective because students feel more comfortable learning from their
peers than from teachers. Peer tutors understand the challenges firsthand and share a similar
perspective, making it easier to connect and communicate.
6. Could an unreasonable number of failures at the end of the term / grading peroid be
attributed to the non -application of formative asseessment? Why or why not?
- This shows that students didn’t understand the lesson, and the teaching methods used were
either repetitive or ineffective.

 Formative assessment is tasting the soup while cooking, Reflect on this and write your
reflections.
- Before continuing as the "teacher," we need to pause and assess understanding. Lessons
should allow students to review what they missed. There are many ways to check students'
learning and comprehension.

- I believe it's fine to grade and record formative assessments. Some students are self-motivated,
while others need external rewards like grades to put in more effort. Teachers should regularly
score and document assessments to engage and inspire all students.

1. Which assessment tools /task were most commonly used by teacher? Which ones were rarely
used? Why they rarely used?
- Yes, multiple choice and short answer questions are widely used because they strike a good
balance between assessing a student's understanding while being straightforward to answer.
Multiple choice questions can test knowledge on a wide range of topics quickly and efficiently,
while short answer questions allow students to demonstrate their comprehension in a more
open-ended manner. Both types are great tools for promoting clarity and reinforcing learning.
2. Based on your answer found in the tables above in which type of assessment tools and taks
were the sources teacher most skilled in test construction? Least skilled?
- I believe multiple-choice and short answer questions are the most important. Multiple-choice
helps the teacher assess factual knowledge and gives students options for the correct answers.
Short answer questions allow teachers to see how well students apply their experiences and
critical thinking skills. These types of questions help students remember and use what they've
learned in class. Based on my observations, I think our teacher may not have fully mastered
creating effective tests.
3. Can aessay or other written requirements, even if it is awritten paper and pencil test, be
considered an authentic from of assessment? Explain your answer.
- Yes, essays and other written assignments allow students to reflect on their experiences and
think about how they can apply what they've learned in real-life situations. This shows that
students can use their knowledge to benefit themselves and their community.

how good are you at constructing traditional assessment tools? Which do you find most difficult to
construct? Any lessons learned?

- You're good at creating essay-style questions because you want to see how much students know
and if they can explain their answers. Multiple choice questions are the hardest for you because
they take time to develop, and you need to carefully choose the questions and answer options to
avoid confusing the students.
