✓ How significant will the administrative support be in the development and maintenance of
a functional Educational Media Center?

 Administrative support is like the backbone of an Educational Media Center (EMC). It's the
help and resources provided by the school leaders to get the EMC started and to keep it
running smoothly. In the beginning, administrative support means they give the money, space,
and technology needed to set up the EMC. They also make rules and guidelines for how the
center should be used. Once the EMC is up and running, administrative support is still
important. It means making sure there are enough qualified people to work there and that the
center's resources match what the students are learning. They also help with the budget to
keep things updated, like buying new technology or getting new books. Overall, administrative
support is crucial for the EMC to be a successful and helpful part of the school. It's like having
a strong foundation to make sure everything works well and keeps improving.

✓ If you will manage an EMC, can you identify specific resources (human, technological,
material) that you would think are significant that must really be part of it?

 To run an Educational Media Center (EMC) well, you need some key things. First, you want a
librarian or media specialist who knows a lot and is friendly. They help keep the books and
materials organized, assist students with research, and make sure everything in the EMC works
smoothly. It's also important to have tech-savvy staff, like educational technologists, who can
help students and teachers with computers, interactive whiteboards, and other tech tools. For
materials, you need a mix of physical and digital books to suit different learning styles. DVDs
and CDs add variety, and having comfy furniture and good study spaces makes the EMC a nice
place to be. Tools like printers and scanners are practical for students' assignments.

Technological resources like computers, internet access, and educational software are
fundamental for research and multimedia projects. Interactive whiteboards make lessons
more interesting, and audio-visual equipment, like projectors, helps with presentations.
Subscriptions to online resources, such as e-books and educational databases, expand the
learning materials available. A strong infrastructure is crucial, with high-speed internet for
online resources and a library management system to keep things organized. Security
measures protect both physical and digital resources.

Lastly, having a budget that can be maintained over time is key. This budget helps keep
technology updated, get new materials, and give staff ongoing training to stay updated on
educational trends and technologies. Basically, having the right people, technology, and
materials ensures the EMC is ready to support a lively and effective learning space.
