For 5th Semester

1.0 Aim of the Micro-Project


The aim of this project is design and implement a basic File Management system for an
Operating systems handle file storage, retrieval, and organization, covering key
concepts such as a file types, directories, file allocation methods, and access
method, and programs interact with the files.

2.0 Learning Objectives…


a) To understands basic concepts of File and File Systems .
b) To learn various File Access Methods and File Allocation Methods.
c) Develop programs to create and access directories and assign the given files access
permissions.

3.0 Proposed Methodology


• Topic was given by an allotted teacher.
• The given topic was discussed among the group members.
• Finding information, a sub-topic was assigned to each member of the group.
• After collection of information was done, designing of the project was started.
• At the end the project was rechecked by the members.
• When the project was ready it was submitted to the allotted teacher.
