Abstract

This report provides a comprehensive account of my internship experience as a

UI/UX Design intern at Nblik, a community-driven platform designed to foster

interaction among users through posts, discussions, and shared interests. The

internship spanned 3 months, during which I had the opportunity to actively

contribute to the enhancement of the platform’s user interface and overall user

experience. My primary responsibility was to redesign key pages of the app,

focusing on improving the aesthetic appeal, usability, and functionality to better

serve the users and enhance engagement.Throughout the internship, I was

assigned to work on several critical areas of the platform, including the

redesign of the User Post Page, Landing Page, Profile Page, Admin Panel,

and the Feed Page. Key tools utilised during the internship included Figma and

Adobe Illustrator, which allowed me to design high-fidelity mockups,

prototype user flows, and conduct usability testing. My designs were centred

around user feedback and the company’s branding guidelines to ensure

consistency across the platform. Regular feedback from senior designers and

developers enabled me to iterate on my designs, improve my attention to detail,

and enhance my understanding of UI/UX principles.One of the most significant

challenges I encountered was ensuring that the redesigned interfaces maintained

the platform’s original identity while addressing usability concerns.

1.Introduction

The field of User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design has become
increasingly important in today's technology-driven world, as businesses strive
to create products that meet the needs and expectations of their users. As a
final-year student specializing in UI/UX design at (Your College Name), I have
developed a strong foundation in design principles, user research, and usability
testing. This internship at Nblik provided me with a unique opportunity to apply
my academic knowledge in a practical setting while working on real-world
projects.

Nblik is a community app designed to facilitate connections and interactions


among users, allowing them to share posts, engage in discussions, and
participate in various community-driven activities. The platform aims to create
an inclusive environment where users can connect over shared interests and
ideas. With a growing user base, it became essential for Nblik to enhance its
user interface to improve user engagement and retention. My role as a UI/UX
design intern was to contribute to this initiative by redesigning key components
of the app, ultimately aiming to create a more intuitive and user-friendly
experience.

During my internship, I was introduced to various aspects of the design process,


including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and user testing. I worked
closely with experienced designers and developers, gaining insights into the

decisions with user needs and business goals.

The primary focus of my internship was to redesign several crucial pages within
the Nblik app. This included the User Post Page, Landing Page, Profile Page,
Admin Panel, and the Feed Page. Each of these pages serves a unique purpose

within the app, and my objective was to enhance their usability, visual appeal,
and overall functionality. To achieve this, I utilised tools such as Figma and
Adobe Illustrator to create wireframes and high-fidelity mockups, enabling me
to visualise design concepts and gather feedback from stakeholders.

One of the key lessons I learned during this internship was the importance of
user feedback in the design process. I conducted user testing sessions to gather
insights on usability and identify areas for improvement. This iterative approach
helped refine my designs and ensured that the final product met user
expectations. Moreover, collaborating with cross-functional teams allowed me

During my internship as a UI/UX design intern at Nblik, I had the opportunity


to work with a variety of technologies and design tools that facilitated the
development and enhancement of the community app. This section outlines the
key tools and technologies I used throughout my internship, highlighting their
significance in the design process.

1. Figma:
Figma was my primary design tool for creating wireframes, high-fidelity
mockups, and interactive prototypes. Its cloud-based nature allowed for
real-time collaboration with team members, enabling us to share feedback
and iterate on designs efficiently. Figma’s extensive library of design
components and plugins significantly streamlined the design process,
making it easier to maintain consistency across different pages of the
application. I also used Figma to conduct user testing sessions, allowing

2. Adobe Illustrator:

As a communication tool, Slack played a crucial role in keeping team

satisfaction and engagement.

Adobe Photoshop was another design tool used for editing and optimizing
images for the app. While Illustrator was used primarily for vector-based
designs, Photoshop was essential for working with raster images,
particularly when editing user-generated content or creating promotional
visuals for the app. The combination of Photoshop's advanced editing
