Job Opportunity: Data Enumerators for Evaluation Survey 10/01/2025

Locations: Nakuru, Narok, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Embu, Makueni, Kwale, Taita Taveta and Kilifi
Counties

Duration: 5 days (February 3rd – 7th, 2025)

Application Deadline: Jan 20th, 2025.

About the Role:

We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to work as Data Enumerators for an evaluation survey.
Enumerators will be responsible for collecting data using structured tools and mobile devices across the
specified counties.

 Continuing university or tertiary students are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

 Attend a mandatory training session before the survey begins.


 Conduct interviews with participants using smartphones and structured questionnaires.
 Ensure accuracy and completeness of collected data.
 Obtain informed consent from participants and adhere to ethical research practices.
 Submit data promptly to the designated supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements:

 Education: At least a continuing student at a university or tertiary institution.


 Possession of a smartphone is mandatory.
 Willingness to travel and work in rural areas.
 Must have a valid national ID and be at least 18 years old.

Experience:

 Prior experience in mobile data collection or fieldwork is an advantage but not mandatory.

Skills:

 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


 Attention to detail and ability to record data accurately.
 Familiarity with data collection apps (e.g., ODK, KoBoToolbox) is an added advantage.
 Language: Fluency in English and Swahili is required. Knowledge of local languages spoken in
Nakuru, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Embu, Makueni, Kwale, or Kilifi counties is a strong advantage.

Compensation:

 Enumerators will be compensated per survey protocol upon successful completion of their
duties.

Submission: Applications should be dropped off at the TSA WASH Offices in MERU DHQ, Voi DHQ,
Nakuru DHQ, Mbitini DHQ Please include "Data Enumerator – [Your Preferred County]" in the subject on
top of the envelope.
