Anchor Script (Farewll and Welcome Program)
The sparkle of humanity is the witness of your existence and the silent smile on your face is
the witness of your softness.
The sun rising in the east and setting in the west is the witness of your ups and downs.
And the rhythmic movement of the moon is the representation of your perfection.
And we’ll be the hosts for the first half of this program.
We are gathered here today to celebrate the joy that comes with new beginnings and the
hope that comes with the promise of a bright future. It is a bittersweet moment as we bid
farewell to the incredible graduating students who will be dearly missed. But as we bid
farewell to our graduates, we also welcome a new batch of students who are joining us.
We have a wonderful schedule planned for you today and hope you will enjoy it.
Let’s begin our ceremony with the chairing of our distinguished guests.
First, I’d like to request Mr. Dipak Singh Thakuri to occupy the seat of the chairperson of
today’s program. And similarly, I’d like to request Ms. Garima Khatry to occupy the seat of
co-chair person of today’s program. I also request my volunteer friends Binita Gautam,
Kopila Ghimire, Tanka Kandel and Purna Lama to honour them with khada and badge.
Similarly, I would like to request our head of department, Prof. Dr. Jib Lal Sapkota to
occupy the seat of the Chief Guest of today’s program and I request the my volunteer
friends to honour him with khada and badge.
Likewise, I would like to request the principal of University Campus, Prof. Dr. Dhyanendra
Rai, The Director of Student Welfare and Sport Directorate, Pashupati Adhikari and the
President of Free Student Union, Mr. Shyam Raj Ojha to occupy the seats of the special
Guests of this program.

The honouring and chairing of our guests will continue throughout the program as they

Now, with the consent of the co-chairs, we are going to beigin our program formally.
As said by Warren Buffet,“Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted
a tree a long time ago.”
So, I would like to request our Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Jib Lal Sapkota to water the plant, a
symbol of growth and prosperity, and commence the program. Let’s accompany him with a
huge round of applause!
Thank you so much sir! Now, It is time for our National Anthem. So, we request all of you
to rise from your seat for the anthem.
Thank you everyone. Please be seated. Now, let’s welcome Ms. Alina Dhakal from 3rd
semester for a welcome speech on behalf of our entire batch.
Thank you Alina for your wonderful speech! And now, let’s add some more energy to this
celebration with a welcome dance by Manisha Buda Magar of 3rd semester.
Thank you Manisha for your mesmerizing performance. Now, we have a special moment
for our newstudents as we formally welcome them to the department. You are embarking
on a journey that will challenge and transform you in countless ways as you join a
community that is dedicated to learning, discovery and growth. You bring with you your
own unique experiences, perspectives and aspirations, and we are excited to learn from you
and with you. With this, I’d like to request our co-chairs, Dipak and Garima, our cheif
guest, Prof. Dr. Jib Lal Sapkota to honour the new students with khada and badge and
volunteer friends, Sandip Gurung and Ichhya Subedi to assist them. I also request all the
students of first semester to come up on stage.

And now, it’s time to bid farewell to our graduating students who have completed their
journey with us. You have enriched our community with your intelligence, creativity and
passion. You leave behind a legacy that will inspire future generations of students and
scholars.
As a token of appreciation, we have a small gift for them. I’d like to request our co-chairs,
Dipak and Garima, and our chief guest Prof. Dr. Jib Lal Sapkota to come forward to present
our graduating students with the token of love and khada and I request our volunteer
friends Usha Kandel and Menuka Rai to assist them. I’d like to invite all the graduating

Dr. Dhurba Bahadur Karki on atge to share a few words with us.
Thank you so much Dhurba sir for your insightful speech. Now, it’s time to energize
ourselves with a group dance by the students of 3rd semester.

announcement form the Director of Student Welfare and Sport Directorate, Mr. Pashupati
Adhikari, about the facilities available to our students. I'd like to invite him up on the stage
to disseminate information regarding the facilities available to the students of TU.
Thank you Pashupati sir. I’m sure that the information you shared today will be immensely
helpful to all the students present here today.
Now, I would like to invite our University Campus Principal, Prof. Dr. Dhyanendra Rai to
deliver a short and sweet speech.

Along with this, we also announce the end of our hosting responsibilities of the formal
session of the program and inform you that the second half of the program will be carried
