Opening

"Good morning/afternoon, everyone!
Welcome to TechFest 2024–2025!
On behalf of SPK College, Sawantwadi's Computer Science
Department, we extend a warm welcome to everyone present here at
this much-anticipated Quiz Competition.

I am Ayesha Bagwan, and alongside me is Ghanshyam Gawas. We


are honored to be your hosts for today’s event."

"This competition is designed to challenge, inspire, and celebrate the
knowledge, teamwork, and quick thinking of our participants. Let us
all applaud the enthusiasm and determination of our teams as they
prepare to showcase their skills!"

Introduction

"Before we begin, let me briefly explain the structure of today’s quiz:

 The competition will be conducted in three rounds, each


progressively testing the teams' knowledge and aptitude.
 Only the top-performing teams from each round will advance to
the next stage.
 At the end of the final round, the top three teams with the
highest scores will emerge as winners.

We kindly request all participants and the audience to adhere to the


rules and maintain decorum throughout the event. Our esteemed
videography team will document today’s proceedings.

Now, without further delay, let us proceed to the first round!"


SPK TechFest 2025
Round 1: General Round

Ayesha
"Let us now begin Round 1 with the first batch of teams. Teams,
please be prepared, and remember, you have 30 seconds to answer
each question. Wishing you all the very best!"

"We begin with Round 1, where all 30 teams will participate. Here are
the rules for this round:

 Each team will answer 5 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).


 Each correct answer carries 1 point, with no negative marking.
 Teams will have 30 seconds to answer each question.
 For every batch of 6 teams, only the top 3 teams will advance to
the next round.
 A total of 15 teams will progress to Round 2.

In case of a tie, a tie-breaker round will be held.


Tie-breaker rules:

 15 MCQ questions will be asked for all teams.


 Teams must raise their flags completely to answer within 10–15
seconds. Each correct answer carries 1 point.
 If the first team raising the flag gives a wrong answer, the
question will be discarded, and the next question will be asked.

"I will now ask the first batch of questions. Teams, please be ready!"

Round 2: Master Round

"Congratulations to the 15 teams that have advanced to the semi-
SPK TechFest 2025
finals! This is where the competition gets tougher. Here is the format
for this round:

 A total of 15 questions will be asked.


 Each correct answer earns 1 point.
 Teams will have 45 seconds to answer each question.
 There will be no multiple-choice questions and no negative
marking.

This is a flag round:

 Teams must raise their flags completely to answer within 10–15


seconds.
 If the team raising the flag first gives a wrong answer, the next
team to raise their flag will be given one chance. If their answer
is correct, they will earn a bonus point.

Only the top 6 teams will advance to the final round.

In case of a tie, we will hold a tie-breaker round with negative


marking:

 A wrong answer will deduct 1 point from the total score.

Round 3: Expert Round

Ayesha
"We have now reached the final and most challenging round of
today’s competition. Congratulations to the top 6 teams for making it
this far!
SPK TechFest 2025
Here are the rules for the final round:

 A total of 25 questions will be asked.


 This round follows a flag-based system and includes negative
marking:
o Each correct answer earns 2 points.
o An incorrect answer deducts 1 point from the total score.
 Teams will have 60 seconds to answer each question.

In case of a tie, the tie-breaker will be conducted as a rapid-fire round


or a flag-based system, as determined by the organizers.

Teams, this is your moment to shine! All the best, and let’s begin the
Expert Round!"

Closing and Results

"With that, we have reached the conclusion of today’s exhilarating
TechFest 2024–2025 Quiz Competition.

The level of knowledge and teamwork displayed by all participants


has been truly commendable. Let us congratulate our winners, [Team
Name], who emerged victorious with an outstanding performance! A
special mention to the runner-up teams for their incredible efforts.

The winners and rank holders will receive their awards and
certificates tomorrow during the closing ceremony. It is
mandatory for all winners to be present during the ceremony.

On behalf of SPK College's Computer Science Department, we


extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, audience
members, and the organizing committee for making this event a grand
success.
