“One Beat, One Spirit, Celebrating
Culture and Sportsmanship.”
Our intramurals kicked off with a beautiful
mass by Rev. Fr. Richard L. Lachica, bringing us all together in faith and gratitude for the exciting days ahead and reminding us to carry respect, unity, and camaraderie during the competition. Following the mass, we witnessed a vibrant parade of our teams, Blazing Rubies, Alpha Sapphire, Tanzanite, and Morganite, each group proudly led by their dedicated advisers. As the teams took the stage, the atmosphere buzzed with energy, colors, and the anticipation of friendly competition. The spirit of unity filled the air, reminding us all that these moments are about more than just games – they’re about building friendships, showcasing talents, and celebrating our community. To cap off an unforgettable opening, the Mass Dance Competition added rhythm and movement to the day, with each team showcasing their passion, skill, and creativity. The day we've been waiting for, but before that, we waited several days to achieve it. On October 28th, the first day of our intramurals a mass was held to pray and guide us to this day. After that, we paraded around and returned to school to begin the program, which started with a mass dance performed by different programs. This brought energy and excitement to the students and thrill for the winner and followed by other sportsmanship activities. On 29th of October, various games were held: Volleyball, Basketball,Badminton, Sepak Takraw, Chess, GOG, and Darts. It was a win- to-win situation where we would determine the overall winner of the course. It was exhausting for the players because they practiced extensively for that event. They gave their best because the group's victory depended on them. They were also happy because they interacted with many younger people. On the third day,30th of October was a cultural event where we can showcase our diverse talents, such as singing, kundiman (a traditional Filipino song), hip-hop, oration, cheerdance, and more. That cultural event is where unity is truly seen. You can really see on the faces of the players or contestants in the cultural event that even with so much talent around, they're giving their best for the whole program they're a part of. They dedicate their time-some for the trophy, others for the enjoyment and it's also where friendships begin. Through the long rehearsals, you can find new friends, young or old, even if it's just for a short time.Win or lose,it's still the best when everyone is united in the path the whole group is taking. It's truly wonderful when there's Camaraderie amidst unity.
Students are excited for the upcoming annual
intramurals, an event held only once a year. Their anticipation is high for the various programs, particularly the cheer dance competition where each program/course competes. To heighten the excitement, the competition is sched- uled for the final day of the intramurals. Parti- cipating courses include BSED, BEED, MATH, and AB-ELS, with Zoe Amar leading and choreographing the AB cheer group. Leadership wasn't easy for Zoe, as some members struggled to keep up initially. However, the team persevered, practicing diligently, guided by their motto: win or lose, they would give their best as representatives of AB-ELS. This dedication showcased their dancing talents, fostered camaraderie, and built strong friendships. While BSED won the championship and BEED placed third, MATH won first runner-up, and AB-ELS secured second runner-up, the overall experience was one of joy and enjoyment for all. To sir Robert Divinagracia Even if you only come to class sometimes, we know you're good at handling your students, and even now, we're still looking forward to your class. Please stay well and energetic.
