II. ESSAY. Explain in brief.

1. Cite 5 impacts of science and technology to the society.
According to the social history of science, technology, and society, there is a
special bond among these three. As taught in the lectures, societies create
science and technology, and science and technology make societies better.
Now that these three things coexist with one another, one may be totally
independent of the other, like science and technology, but they have this
special bond that connects all three. With this special bond among the three,
societies can reflect on that and work with that knowledge to create better
tools, innovate, and, in general, be a better society. As we know, scientists
are society's minds; they primarily do all the research and development and
apply the knowledge they gained through science to their daily lives and
share it with society.
Many discussions are developed to identify the overall impact of science and
technology on our society today as a result of major discoveries in invention
and innovation. Modern people cannot imagine a day without using the
discoveries of science and the use of technology for working, educational, or
personal purposes. Therefore, the human factor and real-life preferences
should always be recognized and promoted. It was the inventions and
discoveries of science and technology that freed society from real-life
boundaries and limitations. However, with time, it has impacted five positive
things such as productivity, information, knowledge, progress, and
development that would benefit us and even society.
In general, science and tradition are two integral elements of human life.
People strive to make their unique contributions to technology and invent the
devices that facilitate human activities. At the same time, they never neglect
respect for traditions and cultural diversity. Therefore, high-tech and
traditional medicine approaches are commonly discussed and promoted
today to identify more positive impacts and reduce negative associations and
challenges.

2. What might be the world without technology.

Every aspect of our life is now heavily influenced by technology. Living
without technology has almost become impossible. Whenever we need to do
anything, be it going to the market or attending a class, using technology is
inevitable. With the introduction of automobiles and motor vehicles, even
simple tasks such as crossing the street have become more difficult. In
conclusion, life would be very complex and challenging without technology.
If we examine our everyday activities, we will see that most of the things we
complete depend on technology. For instance, we use technology like
phones, computers, tablets, and other devices to communicate with people,
browse the internet, watch movies, and other things. Even our health has
become technology-dependent with the advent of modern medical
equipment and treatments. Apart from the above , technology has also
impacted our educational system. We employ a variety of technical tools for
learning, including digital textbooks, online libraries, and other resources. On
the other hand, relying on technology excessively has a variety of
drawbacks. For instance, over use of technology can result in health issues
including obesity, visual issues, and other issues. Technology may also be
addicting and result in addiction issues. Additionally, it can distance
individuals from reality and increase their reliance on technology.

Overall, it is possible to live without technology, but it would be extremely

tough and difficult. We are so reliant on technology in today's society that it
is nearly hard to survive without it. However, if we truly want to live a life
without technology, we must make many changes to our lives in order to live
beyond the need for technology. Life without technology would be extremely
difficult to maintain. However, we should also be aware of the disadvantages
of relying too much on technology. For a healthy and happy existence, we
should find a balance between the two.

3. The dark side of science and technology.

As the advent of science and technology brought ease and comfort in our
lives, at the same time it had some devastating impacts on our social lives.
In the field of science, scientists should be responsible for their discoveries
and the awful advantages that they could be used for. Science will always be
around, and curiosity will always kill the cat, so to speak. Technology will
always change along with all sorts of scientific discoveries. Scientists usually
know where their discoveries will end up, but mostly they do not think of the
reproductions that could happen if they ended up being used for purposes
other than those intended for the discovery. The world will always have the
mentally unbalanced, the delusional, the vicious, and the sociopathic
members of society, some of whom will also be intelligent enough to use the
results of science and technology.
In many ways, this might not have been the intention from the start, but first
the inventors and the discoveries need to account for such possibilities when
such high-precision information is released to the public. Especially in the
case where it was intended to use weapons that were meant to cause harm.
This type of research is usually backed up by the government, but the
researchers are not clear on their personal responsibilities. Directly involving
themselves in the development and being fully aware of the intended
applications leaves the researcher morally obligated to take responsibility for
the repercussions.
So, summing up all of the above, we can say that science and technology
have reached so far that there have been many discoveries and inventions
throughout. This has brought comfort to our lives, but it has also created a
life full of clutter. Hence, science and technology are absorbing us in such a
way that we completely change our social lives and accept it as a blessing.
We, as humans, should be aware of such things in the field of science and
technology, as well as the consequences of relying on them. Also, prior to
using such technological tools, we should conduct research, and we should
be informed of any discoveries in such a way that we will be educated as
well.
