2. Section A has 20 MCQs carrying 1 mark each

5. Section D has 4 questions carrying 05 marks each.
6. Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each)
with subparts of the values of 1, 1 and 2 marks each respectively.
7. All Questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 Qs of 5 marks,
2 Questions of 3 marks and 3 Questions of 2 marks has been provided. An
internal choice has been provided in the 2 marks questions of Section E

Case based questions are compulsory
36. Sania has to reach her office every day at 10:00 am. On the way to her office, she 1+1+2
drops her son at school. Now, the location of Saniya’s house, her son’s school
and her office are represented by the map below. Using the details given, answer
the following questions.

On the basis of the above information, answer the following:


1. Find the coordinates of Saniya’s home.
2.Find the distance between Saniya’s home and her son’s school.
OR
Find the distance between Saniya’s office and her son’s school.
3. Name the geometrical figure obtained by joining the coordinates of Saniyas
home, office and her son’s school. Also find the area of the geometrical figure
obtained.

37. To create a garden, you will need to convert the space inside of an enclosed 1+1+2
rectangle into triangular form.

The perimeter of a triangular ground is 540cm and its sides are in the ratio
12 : 17 : 25

On the basis of the above information, answer the following:


(i) Write the dimensions of triangular ground?
(ii) Find the cost of leveling ground at Rs.4 per cm2.
OR
Find the number of flower beds that can be prepared in triangular
garden, if each flower beds needs 0.30 cm2 area.
(iii) What is the height of the triangular garden with respect to longest side?

38. Tarun and Samay are two friends live in small town. The area near their houses 1+1+2
and school is in the shape of Rhombus. Usually, they go to school by Bicycle.

ABCD is an area in the shape of rhombus in which ∠𝐴𝐷𝐶 = 1200. Samay and
Tarun lived at D and C and their school located at O.

On the basis of the above information, answer the following:


(i) Find the measure of ∠𝐷𝐶𝐵.
(ii) Calculate measure of ∠𝐶𝐷𝑂 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ∠𝐷𝐶𝑂.
OR
Calculate measure of ∠𝐵𝐴𝐶.
(iii) Show that ∆ABC ≅ ∆DCB
