Cylinder head tightening method (F3P engine) Grease the new screws with engine oil on the threads
and under the heads.
Grease the new screws with engine oil on the threads
and under the heads. 1. Pre-settlement of the board:
1. Pre-settlement of the board: Tighten all screws to 3 daNm and then apply an
angular tightening of 50* ± 4*.
Tighten all bolts to 3 daN.m and then to 7 daN.m in
the order indicated below. Wait at least 3 minutes for stabilization time.
Wait at least 3 minutes for stabilization time. 2. Tightening the cylinder head;
2. Cylinder head tightening: Loosen all screws by 180° then tighten to 2.5 daN.m
and then apply angular tightening of 123* ± 7°.

F3P engine 704 - 705 - 706 - 707 - 708 - 710 - 714 - 724-760.
Dimension A: 49 mm (SMP piston).
F7R Engine
Dimension A: 43 mm (AE France piston).
IMPORTANT: It is prohibited to mount two different brands of pistons in the same engine, due to their large
difference in weight. In all cases, be sure to order the piston(s) corresponding to the diameter(s) of the
cylinder(s) in the block. •
ATTENTION: it is imperative to respect the diameter pairings between pistons and cylinders of the engine block»
for this:
1. The diameter of the "T" holes drilled on one side of the engine block allows the original nominal dimension
of the cylinder to be identified:
T = 05 nominal dimension 0 81 mm 0082 mm or 0 82.7 mm (origin 1).
T = 0 7 nominal dimension 0 81.25 mm or 0 82.25 mm or 0 2.95 mm (origin 2).
2. In the same engine there can only be one set of pistons of origin 1 or origin 2 (origin 1 must not be mixed
with origin 2).
3. The position of the holes (Tk with respect to the engine block gasket plane makes it possible to identify,
within the nominal diameter, the tolerance class of the cylinders and, consequently, the diameters of the
corresponding pistons (see matching table below).
