Installation

1 Requirement for Installation

This chapter deals with the contents from the

preparation of installation to the completion of
equipment installation at the operation site. Please
strictly follow each procedure.
1.1 Requirement for Environment
 Ambient temperature: 10℃~40℃;
 Relative humidity: ≤75%;
 Atmospheric pressure: 70kPa~106kPa.

1.2 Power Supply

Power supply: 3-phase 5-wire system, sine wave. For the allowable
variation of supply voltage value, the variation of frequency value
and internal resistance, refer to Chapter 3.4.1 “Power Supply” of
“Installation Preparation” of the Operation Manual.
1.3 Installation Equipment

 Common installation tools: Spanner, screwdrivers, pincers,

etc.;

 Tools for cable connection: Lug plate, bushing, clamper, etc.;

 The multimeter to indicate the real and effective voltage value

and dosimeter;

 Dual-trace memory oscilloscope with minimum bandwidth of

20 MHz;

 Dosimeter and the optical density meter;

 The instrument to measure real kVp and mA (mAs) values.

They can be inserted or non-inserted;

 The speedometer of strip type or other type to measure the

anode rotation speed of tube assemble;

 For the sufficient matters to be used for absorbing the dosage to

calibrate the AEC, the aluminum of 3/4″(2 pieces) or 1mm
copper (8 pieces), or a container holding 5.0cm, 10.0cm,
15.0cm, or 20.0cm deep water, which can cover the radiation
field, are recommended.

1.4 Requirement for Personnel

 Only the professional personnel with the job position license

issued by our training center can conduct the installation and

Installation
adjustment of the product.

 At least there are 2 installers required for installation of the

machine.

In case the installers should not satisfy the above

requirement, the unpredictable results will happen
most probably.

2 Installation
2.1 Unpacking
The machine has 2 packages:
One package is the Generator cabinet, and one package is the
Generator console or mini console , which are packed in the crate.
After unpacking the crate, check if there is any damage caused by
transportation or other factors. If yes, please immediately contact
our company or the local agent of our company and stop the
installation work.

In case the package is abnormal and the installation

adjustment is conducted without any immediate
treatment, the unpredictable results will happen most
probably.

2.2 Installation of Generator Control Cabinet

Remove the fastening screws on the outer cover of the Generator
control cabinet and draw aside the outer cover of the control cabinet.
Install the HV tank and control part to the place inside the
Generator control cabinet according to the layout of the machine
room, then, reinstall the outer cover and fasten it with screws.

2.3 Check of High Voltage Tank

Before installation of the Generator, the HV tank should be checked
according to the following procedures:

 To make sure there is no obvious damage of the machine (such

as uneven surface) incurred during transportation.

 Carefully check if there is any HV oil leakage in the Generator

control cabinet and the HV tank.

 Confirm the HV tank is well fixed and packaged.

Put the HV tank on the middle of the supporting plate
of the Generator control cabinet. And then, connect
the connectors of the sampling board PS1, PS2, PS3,
and high voltage primary wires of V1, V2 and SHIFT.
And connect the ground wire of the HV tank to the
ground terminal of the Generator control cabinet.

2.5 Installation of the Generator Console

The machine is equipped with the Generator console or mini
console. The machine has one console only.

If the control interface and function of the Generator console are

inserted into the image working station of the system, the Generator
console is not needed and the mini console is applicable.

2.7.2 Grounding of X-ray Tube House

Each tube House shall be connected with an independent grounding

2
wire (6mm ) to the grounding row. Before connection, these
positions may have other grounding wires; therefore, confirm that
the previous grounding wires are not disconnected after connection
of the grounding wire of the tube house.
If the grounding wire is not properly connected, it may cause some
malfunctions of operation and exposure, which may cause hidden
troubles of safety to the tube assembly and affect the service life of
the tube assembly.

2.8 Connection of High-Voltage Cable

The X-ray tube assembly should be installed on a fixed position,
such as vertical wall, table or other devices.

 Make sure that the end of the high voltage cable is clean with
good conditions; for instance, there is no crack on the cable end
that is covered with waterproof coating.

 Take off the plastic caps on the jacks of the HV tank. These
plastic caps should be well kept so that they can be used for
transporting the Generator or the HV tank in the future.

 The high-voltage cable plug must be evenly coated with the

high-voltage silicone grease. If it is not coated or not evenly
coated, it may discharge during the exposure.

 The high-voltage cable should be connected according to the

requirement for installation. Be sure to insert the cable into the
end of the HV tank at the right angle. And confirm that the
cable is inserted in the tube 2 with correct connection.

 Make sure that the high-voltage cable is tightly connected and

screwed without any movement between the connections.
