Teaching for Success CSI Iraq Secondary 2024 B – Getting started

Dear All

Welcome to your Teaching for Success CSI Iraq Secondary 2024 online course, which starts on Sunday,
21 January 2024.

I'm Ann and I'll be your moderator for this course. I'm looking forward to working with you over the
next three months. Mr Ahmed Hussein and the team from the British Council told you what you need
to do during the meeting on 13 January, but this is a reminder.

What do I need to do now?

● Log in to the course


You’ll have received an email asking you to verify your email address. That will be the email address
you need to use throughout the course. You must have received an email
from [email protected] informing you that you were enrolled in the course with the course
link: https://project.teachingenglish.org.uk/ and instructions on how to set your password. Please
make sure to create a password that is easy for you to remember.

If you haven’t received this email, please get in touch with me.

● Access the course


Once you’re logged in, you will be taken to the home page. My courses in the My Learning tab takes
you to your Teaching for Success course. In Tutorials, there are guides for completing the different
activities in the course.

To start the course, go to

and click on Start course .


● Complete the “Getting Started” module in Introduction
In the first week, we are going to give you time to log in explore the platform, and then complete the
Introduction module. Getting Started helps us familiarise ourselves with the course and each other.
It's a nice gentle start and I hope you will enjoy it.

Click on Start task to open the unit.

● Take part in the forum discussions


There are discussion forums (places where we can exchange opinions on the topic of each module)
within the course. Please visit the Getting Started forums for more information and post your replies
so we can get to know each other better.

Read the assessment criteria and download the calendar from the informative forum thread
(Assessment, Calendar, and Support) and post in the forum thread Introductions. Please answer all
the questions in the initial post.

● Live session
We are going to have an online meeting - your first live session. I will contact you later by email and
in the forum. In this meeting in which you will get a chance to ask any questions about the course and
to learn more about effective online learning.

Attached to this email are the course calendar and the assessment criteria.
