Remote Server Backup Manual
1. Requirements for Backup
Remote Backup Server (Compulsory)
Monitor
Keyboard and Mouse
UPS (Compulsory)
Internet Availability (Compulsory)
Power Availability (Compulsory)
2. How to Connect with Partner Computer
a) Double Click on TeamViewer 7 shortcut on Server desktop (See Picture
Below)
b) Team Viewer Window will open(See Picture Below)
Enter Partner ID i.e. 877 471 616
Click on Connect to partner ‘button’
c) Enter Password for connecting with Partner Computer(See Picture Below)
Password: apexcon
Click on ‘Log On’ button.
d) Click on ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del’ button at right corner of newly opened window(See
Picture Below)
Note: If this window does not show ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del’ button. Please restart
Partner Computer
e) A small window will open on click on ‘Ctrl+Alt+Del(See Picture Below) and
will ask for User name and Password.
User Name: Administrator
Password: ac@03061964%
f) Minimize the window after connecting (See Picture Below)
Click on My Computer on ‘Server’
Double Click on ‘backupdata$ on ‘172.16.0.101’(Z:)
g) Check backup data on remote server to verify backup (See Picture Below)
3. How to Back up on Remote Backup Server?
a) Double click on ‘Backup Platinum’ shortcut
b) Backup Platinum window will open
c) Select Item name for backup
d) Click on ‘Synchronize’ button
Note: Select one item at a time and take backup, after completion of one item select next.
4. How to Shut Down Remote Backup Server?
a) Maximize backup Server Window through Team Viewer from ‘Start bar’
b) Go to Start Menu
c) Click on Shut Down
d) Select ‘Shut Down’ option from drop down menu
e) Enter any work or alphabet in ‘Comment’ box
f) Click on ‘OK’
g) Remote Backup Server will Shut Down
Important Note:
1. After Completion of Backup do not forget to verify the backup data.
2. Please check at least one file to verify that backup is successfully stored on Remote
Backup Server
3. Call to relevant person on remote location to turn off power to the Remote Backup
Server.
