Before anything else, please stand up and (prayer)
let’s pray
▪ Classroom Management
Before you take your seats, kindly pick-up the pieces (The students will pick up the pieces of papers.)
of papers under your chair.
▪ Monitoring Absences
Now, let's have the attendance for today. When I call
your name say present (Students will say present)
▪ Re-call
Before we proceed to our discussion for today,
let's have a recall about we tackled yesterday. We Conjunctions
tackled about?
these are the words that connect words, phrases,
And when we say conjunctions, what does it clauses, or sentences, helping to create smooth
mean? and coherent connections in writing and speech.

Very good, now I assume everyone understood

our lesson and everyone ready for our next topic!

B. Mood-setting activity
Before we proceed to our discussion, I want to (Students will participate)
know what are you feeling today. Let’s track your
mood, are you guys ready? Let’s see!

Now that I know that some of you are feeling

tired already, I prepared an energizer before our class
begins!

(Execution of Energizer) (Execution of Energizer)

C. Presentation
For hinting about our lesson for today, I want to ask Nouns, Pronouns, Vervs, Adverbs, Adjectives,
you guys this question, ‘’How many parts of speech do Conjunctions, Prepositions, Interjections
you know?’’

Thank you so much for that answer!

Our lesson for today is all about interjections, Do you a word or phrase that is grammatically independent
have any idea what is an interjection? from the words around it, and mainly expresses
feeling rather than meaning
Very good!

Can anyone please read the meaning of Interjection?

(call someone) Alright, Interjections are words or (Read the presentation)
phrases that express strong feelings. They often stand
alone and are usually followed by an exclamation
mark. For example, 'Wow!', 'Ouch!', and 'Yay!'.

Can anyone give another example of interjection? (Yipee! Stop! Oh no!)

Awesome!
People use interjections a lot in everyday speech.
For example, when we saw something that we love,
we’d say, ‘’Wow! I love that!’’
For another example, (call a student to read) this
example is also applicable in our daily lives. You could
be hurt by something or someone! Whether it is
physically or emotionally, right? Alright! What is the ‘’Ouch!’’
interjection in the sentence?
Another example would be (call a student to read)
Now what is the interjection here? Oh no!
To further explain the interjections, let’s get to know
the punctuating interjections. (Read the presentation)
When an interjection is spoken calmly, it doesn't need
to disrupt the flow of the sentence dramatically.
Instead, you can simply place a comma after the
interjection and continue with the rest of the sentence.

Now, can anyone of you give one example of

punctuating interjection that is softly spoken? (answer may vary)

Alright, now in this interjection, it is now more

spoken with emotion. (Call a student to read) When an
interjection is spoken with strong emotion, it is followed
by an exclamation point to convey the intensity of the
feeling. The exclamation point indicates a higher level
of excitement, surprise, or urgency compared to a
comma. After the interjection and exclamation point,
the next word in the sentence is capitalized because it
marks the beginning of a new sentence or thought.

Can anyone of you give one example of (Answers may vary)

punctuating interjection that conveys the intensity of
the feeling?
I have here more examples of common
interjections that we used (read).

Now to relate the interjection your interests, I related it

to the one of the most movie this year! It’s no other
than Inside-out!

Alright! First, who is the main character of the movie? ‘’Riley’’

Yes, of course, it's Riley! And now I wonder what (Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, Ennui, Fear,
emotions are presented in the movie? Anxiety, Envy, and Embarrassment)
Amazing! Lastly, who is your topmost favorite out of all
emotions or characters in the movie? Alright!
With that, I want you all to say and act the facial [page 20-29]
expression of these following emotions in chorus!
D. Analysis
How do the interjections used by Joy, Sadness, Anger,
Fear, and Disgust help convey their emotions more
effectively? Provide specific examples from the movie
and explain how these interjections enhance the
overall emotional impact of the scenes.
E. Generalization
Interjections are words or phrases used to express
strong emotions or reactions. They can convey
feelings such as surprise, joy, anger, or sadness and
are often punctuated with exclamation marks or
commas to reflect their intensity.
F. Application
By using interjections appropriately, we can enhance
our communication, making it more expressive and
impactful. Whether in casual conversations, writing, or
public speaking, interjections help us connect with
others and convey our emotions succinctly and
effectively.
