Results and Discussion: Phys. Scr. Et Al

The document presents a numerical study of nonlinear flow equations using a finite volume approach, focusing on the effects of various parameters such as radiation and Reynolds number. It includes a comparison of Nusselt numbers with previous studies, showing good agreement with existing results. The methodology involves a detailed iterative algorithm for solving the discretized equations and determining temperature and velocity profiles.

Here, the following algorithm is used to implement the obtained discretized equations:

1. Select a suitable grid. It is recommended to start with 31 ´ 31.

2. All dependent variables are initialized to zero.
3. The new boundary conditions at the first iteration are calculated
4. The new temperature at the current iteration is calculated from previous values at all internal grid points.
5. The velocities (U, V and N ) as well as the stream function are calculated in the same way as in step (d).
6. The same procedure is followed by starting with step (c)to obtain the solution at the next iteration.
7. The iteration process is terminated if the following condition satisfies:

å∣WiNew
,j i, j ∣  10
- Wold -6

8. The Nusselt and Sherwood numbers at the bottom wall are then calculated.

Here, it should be mentioned that the successive under relaxation method is used to solve the resulting
algebraic system. After testing many grid sizes, the grid of 101 ´ 101 is found to be enough for all the
computation. Also, the convergence criteria is examined and is selected when the absolute difference between
the current values of the dependent variables and previous values is 10-6. Further, accuracy of the obtained
outcomes is showed in table 2. The present outcomes are found in a very good agreement.

4. Results and discussion

In this part, the gained outcomes from nonlinear flow equations (10)–(14) due to corresponding boundary
relation (15) in the earlier section have been numerically worked out by finite volume approach and carried out
