When writing the report students must:

1. Examine the overall trends in each year and in each


category.
2. Look at differences and similarities in the various
categories over the specific period.
3. Note decreases and increases and note any fluctuations.

4. Classify related categories and explain interesting


conclusions and trends in the data.
Students must observe the following when
asked to write statistical reports:

1. Report must be based on facts and must be

accurate and free of biases.

2. Facts must be arranged logically.

3. Students should not introduce their opinions in

the report.

 Trinidad
Over the surveyed period, Trinidad recorded a steady decline
in the number of CXC entries, so much so that this is
projected to continue into 2023. The highest number of
entries was observed as 25, 500 in 2019 while the country’s
lowest number was 10, 500 in 2022.

 Guyana
Guyana recorded a steady increase in its number of CXC
entries over the surveyed period. This increase was
approximately 2000 yearly. The highest entry was recorded in
2022 (19, 400), while the lowest was observed in 2019
(13,500). Such trend is expected to continue in 2023.

 St. Vincent
St. Vincent recorded a fairly consistent number of CXC
entries between 2019 and 2022. A negligible fluctuation
of about 100 entries was recorded yearly during the same
period. This trend is projected to continue in 2023 with
3500 entries.
 Jamaica
Over the period surveyed, Jamaica recorded a marked
fluctuation in its number of CXC entries. Its highest
recorded entry was in 2021 (100,000). While its lowest
was a plummet the very next year (2022; 5000). This
fluctuation is expected to continue in 2023.

 Totals
Overall, a total of 317,100 entries was recorded over
the surveyed period. The fluctuation seen during this
period had its highest number of 135, 600 in 2021.

In closing, the number of CXC entries fluctuated


during the period of 2019 and 2022.
