This document outlines the setup process for new Windows Autopilot devices, requiring internet access and a connected power adapter. Windows Autopilot devices require internet access, either from an Orica Site or home network, to complete the setup.
During this process, please ensure the power adapter is connected to the laptop.
BUILD PROCESS
1. Please select your Region
**If you'll be deployed to the Philippines, please scroll down the list and select the Philippines. Click Yes.
General 2. Please Select the appropriate keyboard layout.
3. If you picked anything else other than the US keyboard layout. Please add the US as the second keyboard layout
4. If you are working from home, please connect via wireless or ethernet. If you are working at an Orica site, please plug in an ethernet connection.
General IF YOU HAVE ISSUES CONNECTING TO THE NETWORK: PLEASE CONTACT THE IT SERVICE DESK (Please click the link to find all the contact details for the service desk - Service Desk)
5. Enter the email address in the section provided then click Next. Enter your Password then click Next. Note: Please reach out to your line manager to get your Orica username and password
General After entering the initial login password, the MFA set-up begins. Click Next.
The process will require you to download Microsoft Authenticator. Download the app depending on the device you are to install it. Click Next.
Click on the “+” symbol found in the top section of the Authenticator homepage. Click Next.
General Click “Scan a QR code” on your mobile device. Click “Allow” on all notifications related to permissions. Scan the QR image on the computer screen. Click Next
Enter the number that will show on the computer screen in the Pop-up Notification that will come up on the mobile device. Click Next.
General Confirmation will be received once the Notification is approved. Click Next
Enter the mobile device number where the Authenticator is installed.
Make sure to select the correct country code corresponding to the number you are registering. Select if you want to receive a Code or a Call for the final notification. Click Next.
General If you opt to select “Receive a code”, type in the code received in the space provided on the computer screen. Click Next.
A confirmation will be received when verification is complete. This will also confirm that the phone number is registered. Click Next.
General Set-up complete. Click Done.
MFA setup is complete
Proceed to Continue with the computer setup.
General 6. Please wait while the device configures itself. It'll take roughly 30 minutes.
If this fails, please reach out to the service desk, click ‘Show Details’ and provide a screenshot/ photo
General 7. To log into your new laptop – please enter your email address and password
8. Your laptop is ready for use.
General Note: Applications such as Outlook, MS Teams, Zscaler, SAP Logon, etc., will be installed silently over the next few hours. Other Orica default applications will be available for installation from Company Portal. You need to RESTART the computer as required to complete the updates. Once you see the Zscaler app, kindly login using your email address.
Windows Updates:
Windows Updates are required to keep things running smoothly. External monitors, keyboards, or USBs will not work unless these updates are installed. Please follow the steps below to install these updates:
Please keep the laptop online for the remainder of the day.
