30/06/24 : My day

My day started at 12:00 am at which India lifted the T20 world cup, which was dream for us
from the last 17 years. It was a very enthusiastic and most emotionally overwhelming
moment for me, as my favourite player Rohit Sharma won it as a captain. I was having mixed
emotions as Virat Kohli who is according to me one of the best batter of our generation,
hung up his boots on T20 internationals. If that was not enough even Rohit did the same. I
was in tears when I heard those sentences said by the one of best players in T20 cricket.
After all these moments it was time to sleep, but something stuck my mind and I started to
design my club’s jacket. I used all the inspiration that I could and created a design which was
worth printing behind a jacket. While designing I felt like my younger self dedicated, curious
and excited with full of creativity in mind. The result of those thoughts was the design. I hit
the hay at that moment when the voices in my head stopped.
The morning it was already 10:12 am when I woke up, but it was not an ordinary morning
the news was filled with Indian Cricket team’s praises. I felt good, felt proud to be born in the
country which had given birth to such gems. After a while I got up and freshened myself up,
went downstairs to have a cup of tea. I was a bit shocked to see that today also the 1st year
students were running towards the academic block, for what? I didn’t know back then. I as I
am ignored them and started doing my daily chores. It was 1:00 pm, I had my lunch and
came back to my room, had a chat with my roommate Meenu (Mrinal) and started to
complete my report. Report is a very tiresome task as I have to be careful that I don’t mess
up any of the information. After a while I got up and took a nap for 15 mins or so. I woke up
with a message stating there was a meet scheduled by the President and Vice president of
our college regarding the Club Selection and Club Pitches for the 1st year students. I found it
as an opportunity to have a one on one discussion with the Club Coordinators regarding the
selection criteria, plannings, schedules created by the club and much more. After the meet, I
came back to my room and then my phone beeped with a message “Suno”, I was about to
call and I say the message. I had a great talk with Aditi; my life partner. After that I had a talk
with my parents, which really made me realize how lucky I am that I am provided with loving
and supporting partner and parents.
In the end I would just like to say, thank you Aditi to make me write more about things which
are going on in my life. I just love writing now.
