USER EXPERIENCE FOR EMPLOYEES USING THE INTRANET PORTAL. I COLLABORATED WITH THE WEB DESIGN
TEAM TO ENSURE THE DESIGN WAS INTUITIVE AND RESPONSIVE ACROSS DIFFERENT DEVICES.
THIS INTERNSHIP WAS AN EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY FOR ME TO APPLY MY TECHNICAL SKILLS IN A REAL-
WORLD SETTING. I LEARNED HOW TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT, MANAGE TIGHT
DEADLINES, AND DEVELOP SOLUTIONS THAT MET BOTH FUNCTIONAL AND DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS. THE
EXPERIENCE ALSO HELPED ME SHARPEN MY PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS, AS I HAD TO OVERCOME
CHALLENGES RELATED TO UI/UX DESIGN AND TEAM COLLABORATION.
OVERALL, THE INTERNSHIP PROVIDED ME WITH VALUABLE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE AND STRENGTHENED MY
ABILITY TO CONTRIBUTE MEANINGFULLY TO LARGE-SCALE PROJECTS.
3. LANGUAGE BARRIER:
YES, THERE WAS INITIALLY A LANGUAGE BARRIER SINCE I COME FROM A HINDI-SPEAKING BACKGROUND,
AND THE INTERNSHIP LOCATION IN ANDHRA PRADESH HAD A MAJORITY OF TELUGU-SPEAKING PEOPLE.
HOWEVER, I QUICKLY REALIZED THAT ENGLISH SERVED AS THE COMMON LANGUAGE IN MOST
PROFESSIONAL SETTINGS, SO COMMUNICATION DURING WORK-RELATED DISCUSSIONS WASN’T A
SIGNIFICANT ISSUE.
OUTSIDE OF WORK, INTERACTING WITH LOCAL PEOPLE IN DAY-TO-DAY SCENARIOS WAS A BIT CHALLENGING
AT FIRST, BUT I FOUND THAT MOST PEOPLE WERE VERY ACCOMMODATING. I MADE AN EFFORT TO PICK UP
A FEW COMMON TELUGU PHRASES TO EASE COMMUNICATION, WHICH HELPED ME BUILD RAPPORT WITH
COLLEAGUES AND LOCAL VENDORS. MY TEAMMATES WERE SUPPORTIVE AND OFTEN HELPED ME WITH
TRANSLATIONS WHEN NECESSARY, WHICH MADE THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE MUCH SMOOTHER.
OVERALL, WHILE THE LANGUAGE DIFFERENCE WAS SOMETHING I HAD TO ADJUST TO, IT DIDN’T HINDER MY
ABILITY TO COLLABORATE WITH THE TEAM OR COMPLETE MY WORK SUCCESSFULLY. IT ALSO GAVE ME THE
OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN AND ADAPT TO A NEW CULTURAL ENVIRONMENT, WHICH WAS A VALUABLE
EXPERIENCE IN ITSELF.

1. EXPLAIN YOUR PROJECTS:
I HAVE WORKED ON TWO KEY PROJECTS THAT ALLOWED ME TO APPLY MY SKILLS IN WEB DEVELOPMENT
AND DATA ANALYTICS. DURING MY TIME WORKING ON CREATISKETCH, A COLLABORATIVE ONLINE DRAWING
TOOL, I FOCUSED ON DEVELOPING A SEAMLESS, REAL-TIME DRAWING EXPERIENCE THAT COULD SUPPORT
MULTIPLE USERS ACROSS DIFFERENT DEVICES. I USED NEXT.JS TO BUILD A HIGHLY RESPONSIVE USER
INTERFACE, ENSURING THAT USERS COULD INTERACT WITH THE APPLICATION EFFICIENTLY REGARDLESS OF
THEIR DEVICE OR BROWSER. THE DESIGN AND STYLING WERE HANDLED USING TAILWIND CSS, WHICH MADE
THE UI DESIGN PROCESS QUICKER AND MORE STREAMLINED, HELPING ME MAINTAIN A CONSISTENT LOOK
AND FEEL. FOR THE BACKEND, I RELIED ON NODE.JS TO MANAGE REAL-TIME COMMUNICATION BETWEEN

WEB APPLICATIONS AND HANDLING REAL-TIME DATA EFFICIENTLY.
IN ANOTHER PROJECT, I DEVELOPED AN EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS DASHBOARD USING POWER
BI, AIMED AT HELPING MANAGEMENT MAKE DATA-DRIVEN DECISIONS. THE PROJECT REQUIRED ME TO
IMPORT EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE DATA FROM CSV FILES AND TRANSFORM IT USING POWER QUERY. I
UTILIZED SQL TO QUERY THE DATA AND ORGANIZE IT INTO MEANINGFUL STRUCTURES. WITH POWER BI, I
THEN CREATED INTERACTIVE VISUALIZATIONS THAT HIGHLIGHTED KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS SUCH AS

WAS WORKING WITH LARGE DATASETS THAT WERE SOURCED FROM MULTIPLE CSV FILES. THESE FILES
OFTEN CONTAINED INCONSISTENT AND UNSTRUCTURED DATA, REQUIRING SIGNIFICANT CLEANING AND
TRANSFORMATION. USING POWER QUERY IN POWER BI, I HAD TO IMPLEMENT DATA CLEANING
TECHNIQUES, SUCH AS REMOVING DUPLICATES, HANDLING MISSING VALUES, AND NORMALIZING DATA
FORMATS, TO ENSURE THE DATASET WAS READY FOR ANALYSIS. THIS PROCESS WAS TIME-CONSUMING
AND REQUIRED ATTENTION TO DETAIL TO MAINTAIN THE INTEGRITY OF THE DATA.
ANOTHER CHALLENGE WAS ENSURING THAT THE DASHBOARD REMAINED DYNAMIC AND SCALABLE,
ALLOWING USERS TO FILTER AND ANALYZE DATA ACROSS DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS, SUCH AS
DEPARTMENTS, TIME PERIODS, AND INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE METRICS. I HAD TO CAREFULLY DESIGN
THE DATA MODEL AND SET UP EFFICIENT RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN TABLES, USING SQL TO WRITE QUERIES
THAT FETCHED RELEVANT DATA WITHOUT COMPROMISING PERFORMANCE. OPTIMIZING THESE QUERIES
TO HANDLE LARGE DATASETS WHILE MAINTAINING A RESPONSIVE AND USER-FRIENDLY DASHBOARD WAS
A COMPLEX TASK.
CREATING EFFECTIVE AND INSIGHTFUL VISUALIZATIONS WAS ANOTHER HURDLE. WHILE POWER BI OFFERS
A VARIETY OF VISUALIZATION TOOLS, SELECTING THE MOST APPROPRIATE CHARTS AND GRAPHS TO
REPRESENT KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIS) REQUIRED A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF BOTH THE DATA
AND THE NEEDS OF THE END USERS. I HAD TO ITERATE THROUGH SEVERAL DESIGN VERSIONS TO ENSURE

AS AN ORGANIZING MEMBER OF THE MPL EVENT, A FLAGSHIP EVENT OF SIAM VIT DURING GRAVITAS 2022,
MY ROLE WAS FOCUSED ON COORDINATING VARIOUS ASPECTS OF EVENT MANAGEMENT. I WORKED
CLOSELY WITH A TEAM TO ENSURE THE EVENT WAS EXECUTED SMOOTHLY FROM PLANNING TO

AND USER INTERFACE GUIDELINES. AT THE SAME TIME, I HAD TO BALANCE ONGOING DEVELOPMENT TASKS,
ENSURING THAT THE PRODUCT REMAINED ON TRACK FOR DELIVERY.
ANOTHER LAYER OF COMPLEXITY CAME FROM THE NEED TO COORDINATE WITH MULTIPLE STAKEHOLDERS,
