Special Assembly Ambedkar Jayanti

: (Naitrika) Good morning, everyone! Today, we gather here for a special

assembly to commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, a visionary
leader, social reformer, and the architect of the Indian Constitution. Dr.
Ambedkar's life is a testament to resilience, courage, and the unwavering pursuit
of justice. Today, we shall delve into a significant incident that profoundly
impacted his life and shaped his quest for equality and social justice.

It was the early 1900s in India, a time marked by deep-rooted caste

discrimination and social inequality. In such a milieu, a young boy named
Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was about to experience an incident that would leave
an indelible mark on his life. Now, I would like you to witness the incident.

The Title is : The Spark of Revolution: A Tribute to Dr. Ambedkar

Young Bhimrao (Dr. Ambedkar): A determined boy of about 10, dressed in

modest clothing.
Teacher: A stern, authoritative figure, wielding a cane.
Upper Caste Students: A clique of children, sitting comfortably on the benches.
Lower Caste Students: Bhimrao's companions, sitting on the floor

Act:

[The scene opens with the Teacher pacing in front of the classroom. Bhimrao sits
on the floor, hunched over his books, while Upper Caste Students whisper and
snicker.]

Mahima (Teacher) : [Addressing the class] Today, we shall learn about our
illustrious history. Open your textbooks to page number 67

Rudra (Upper Caste Student) : Why does Bhimrao get to sit on the floor?

( Hemang ) Upper Caste Student : Because he's not worthy of a bench like us!

Bhimrao (Shourya): [Voice trembling with suppressed anger] Sir, why must I
sit on the floor while others enjoy the benches?

Teacher (Mahima): It is the way things are. Know your place, Bhimrao.

Teacher(Mahima): Now, let us continue.

Bheem Rao (Shourya) : Sitting on the floor, I feel treated unfairly. It makes me
determined. I promise to change this unfair system. I want everyone to be treated
equally. I will fight for this. I won't give up. Every day, I work towards this goal.
I believe in fairness. I believe in justice. I want to make things right for everyone.
That's my mission. I will keep fighting until everyone is treated with respect and
kindness.
Act – 2

(Naitrika) : Now I would like you to witness another incident which made him
more determined to bring change in the society. We will witness how Young
Bheemrao took the things in his stride. Young Bheemrao goes to a Government
office to submit his application but is denied by the official.

The Title is…..: The Resilience of Dr. Ambedkar: Triumph Over Humiliation

dressed in simple attire.
2. Upper Caste Official: A pompous bureaucrat, exuding privilege and
arrogance.

India.

Act:

[The stage is set with a crowd milling about. Bhimrao approaches the
Government Office tentatively, clutching a sheaf of papers. The Upper Caste
Official lounges behind a desk, surveying Bhimrao with disdain.]

Upper Caste Official(Anmol) : What brings a man of your caste here?

Bhimrao( Shubham) : I am here to submit my application, sir.

[The Upper Caste Official eyes Bhimrao's documents with derision, then
crumples them in his hand.]

Upper Caste Official( Anmol ): [Mockingly] You? Submit an application?

Know your place, boy. Your kind are not welcome here.

Bhimrao (Shubham) : My caste does not define my abilities, sir. I am as capable

as any other applicant.

[The Upper Caste Official scoffs and gestures for Bhimrao to leave. The crowd
watches in silence, some with sympathy, others with indifference.]

Bhimrao(shubham) : [Addressing the crowd] Is this the justice we seek? To be

judged not by our merit, but by our caste?

[Some in the crowd nod in agreement, while others exchange uncomfortable

glances.]
Upper Caste Official( Anmol) : Enough of this insolence! Leave at once, or face
the consequences!

Bhimrao(Shubham) : I will not be silenced. I will fight for equality and justice,
no matter the obstacles in my path. I’ll burn the midnight oil and shall prove to
the world I am capable of everything.
