DAILY LESSON LOG OF M7SP-IVf-1(Day Two)

School Grade Level 7

Teacher Learning Area MATHEMATICS
Teaching Date and Time Quarter Fourth
Objectives must be met over the week and connected to the curriculum standards. To meet the objectives,
necessary procedures must be followed and if needed, additional lessons, exercises and remedial activities
may be done for developing content knowledge and competencies. These are assessed using Formative
I. OBJECTIVES Assessment Strategies. Valuing objectives support the learning of content and competencies and enable
children to find significance and joy in learning the lessons. Weekly objectives shall be derived from the
curriculum guides.
A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts , uses and importance of
central tendency the mean, median and mode of a statistical data.

B. Performance Standards The learner is able to collect and organize data systematically and compute accurately
measures of central tendency and variability and apply these appropriately in data
analysis and interpretation in different fields.

Learning Competency: Illustrates the measures of central tendency(mean, median and

mode) of a statistical data.M7SP-IVf-1
Learning Objectives:
C. Learning Competencies/ 1. Relate the process of finding the three measures of central tendency of ungrouped
Objectives data.
2. Show and demonstrate on finding the mean, mode and median of the grouped data.
3. Demonstrate appreciation of finding the mean, median and mode as important skills
needed to understand the statistical data.

These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that pupils/students
will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the pupils/ students which you can infer
from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing pupils/students with
IV. PROCEDURES multiple ways to learn new things, practice the learning, question their learning processes, and draw
conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the
time allotment for each step.
The teacher calls somebody from the class to find the mean, median and mode.
The number of hours each students spends studying and doing school projects each day

The teacher discusses with the students that it is very easy to find three measures of
central tendency in a small set of data. However, that may not be so when the data set
is large. He/ she lets the students work the Exercise in three, describing also the

G. Finding practical applications

of concepts and skills in daily
living
The teacher summarizes the mathematical skills used to find the mean, mode and
median of the grouped data by asking the question below.
How do you find the mean, mode and median of the grouped data?

Answers shall be drawn from the students.

Just like finding the mean, mode and median of the ungrouped data.

scores. It is the easiest “average” to compute.
-It is also an “average” score. A data set may have two modes (and hence the data
set is called bimodal).
-It is the middle score in the list after the scores are arranged in decreasing or
increasing order.

The teacher lets the students answer individually the formative assessment.
The table shows the scores of 10 students in 48 item periodic exam in Grade 7 Math.

them, you can ask them relevant questions.
