Installation and Upgrade Instructions of Mindray labXpert

Software
1 Overview
The labXpert refers to “Mindray labXpert Software”, which is based on the server-multiple client structure and
supports multiple clients to view server data at the same time.
LabXpert supports the connection to cell morphology analyzer (hereinafter referred to as the “analyzer”) and
LIS.
The following figure shows the logic structure of the connection among labXpert, analyzers and LIS.

Figure1 Logic Architecture of Connection

The client server, server, analyzer, and LIS use the network connection, and the arrows represent TCP .
2 Software Installation
2.1 Environment Configuration of Software Installation
2.1.1 Network Firewall Setting
Before the installation, turn off the PC firewall. For the WIN10 system, see the following settings. For operating
systems of other versions, refer to the WIN10 settings.

Figure 13 Setting the Server IP Address

If the client software and server software are installed on the same PC, the default IP address 127.0.0.1 is used.
Otherwise, you need to enter the IP address of the server PC and log in again.
When you do not know the server IP address, check if the server software runs normally, and the network
connection is OK. If so, use the IP Auto Detection function to acquire the server IP address. When the client
software finds the server, it automatically acquires and enters the IP address to the IP address field.
After setting the server IP address, enter the password and click “Login”:

6 Server Interconnection Mode

6.1 Overview
By setting the interconnection mode, the labXpert server can obtain historical samples of patients from other
servers for the calculation of rule delta and the display of historical results.
For each server, set up the connection with other servers. The overall connection is similar to the following
figure:

6.3.2 Setting Server Interconnection
Suppose there are three servers that can be accessed through the network. The IP addresses are 192.168.1.1,
192.168.1.2, and 192.168.1.3 respectively.
1. Log in to one of the servers first. Suppose you log in to server 192.168.1.1.
2. Switch to “System Setup” -> “LabXpert Interconnection Setup”.
3. Click “New”, and enter the server name and IP address.
4. Switch the setup screen and save.
5. When the server is successfully connected, the connection status indicator is green.
6. Log in to another server and repeat the above steps to set interconnection.

7 Central Server and Sub Server Interconnection Mode
7.1 Overview
A central server can connect to other laboratory servers as sub servers.
The user can log in to the client connected to the central server to review and view all recent sample results from
sub servers.
On the sub server, the history results of the same patient can be obtained from the central server and used for
rule delta calculation. View the history results in the history result tab.

7.2 Installation
7.2.1 Sub Server Installation
For details about the installation procedure, see the client software installation procedure.
7.2.2 Central Server Installation
The central server stores sample results of sub servers intensively.
To ensure the response performance, there are several hard disks for PC configuration:
1. An SSD system disk for installing the Windows operating system;
2. An SSD hard disk for storing the central server database;
3. A large-capacity mechanical hard disk for storing sample pictures from the central server;

Suppose the drive letter for the operating system is drive C, the drive letter for the database SSD is drive D, and
the drive letter for the mechanical hard drive is drive E.
When setting up the path, you need to specify the installation disk for database and picture respectively.
Set disk D as the database path and backup path. Set disk E as the picture path.
