SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR THE POST OF PROGRAMMER AT AIIMS, NEW DELHI,
NCI JHAJJAR, HARYANA
This is in reference to advertisement F.No.7-1/2019
1/2019-Estt.(RCT)
Estt.(RCT) published by Recruitment Cell in the newspapers on dated
12.02.2020 as well as uploaded on the AIIMS website & Institute website www.aiims.edu & www.aiimsexams.org and its
subsequent corrigendum/s uploaded on the website. The Scheme of Recruitment Examination for the said posts including
important dates for the post of Programmer for AIIMS New Delhi/ NCI Jhajjar,
Jha r, Haryana are as under:-

Timing of Examination Will be announced in the Admit Card

Duration of Examination 3 hrs. (180 minutes)

Scheme of Examination 1. 200 MCQs of 200 marks with four alternatives for each
question:-
(30 MCQs- Related to Aptitude/General
e/General Knowledge/ Awareness
170 MCQs- Related to Subject )
2. There will be negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong
answer.
3. The qualifying marks in Recruitment Examination will be as follows:
 50% for UR
 40% for SC & ST
Syllabus of Examination The syllabus will be in accordance with education qualification and
experience as mentioned in the advertisement.
A candidate may be assessed to test the knowledge on Core Computer
Sciences, On hand programming capability, Knowledge on latest
technologies etc on the basis of syllabus of recognised
universities/Institutes at the level of essential qualification require
required for the
post of programmer in following areas :

General Aptitude, English, Communication Skill, Problem


Problem-Solving and
Programming using C/C++ ( Problem - Solving Techniques, Design of
Algorithms, Efficiency, Complexity,
omplexity, Data Structure/Representation,
Loops (simple/complex), Multilevel Decision making), Computer
Organisation ( The Basic Computer, The Data Representation, Logic
Gates, Memory System, I/O Technology including latest in use,
Input/Output System, Secondary Storage System, Theory of Computing,
Discrete Mathematics (Propositional Calculus, Boolean Algebra and
Circuits), Systems Analysis and Design, Implementation and
Maintenance of Systems, Internet Concepts and Web Design (The
Internet, Intranet, World Wide Web, HTML, JavaScript, XML), Data and
File structures, Operating System Concepts and Networking
Management/Concepts, Database Management Systems (Basic Concepts,
Relational and ER Models, NORMALIZATION, Structured Query
Language (SQL) and Transaction Management, Stored Procedure,
Backup, Recovery and Security, Distributed and Client Server Databases,
SQL Server/Postgres SQL/MySQL), Object Oriented
Technology/Concepts, Python,DOT NET(C#/ASP.NET),Software
Engineering, Data Communication and Networks, Artificial Intelligence
and Knowledge Management.
Resolution of Tie Cases In cases where more than one candidate secures equal MARKS, tie will
be resolved
(i) First by using date of birth with older candidates placed higher.
ii) If not resolved by (i), the number of wrong answers / negative marks
will be used wherein those with less wrong answers / negative marks
will be placed higher.
Important Note:
1. The candidates are advised to download their Admit Cards from website www.aiimsexams.org. Only website generated
Admit Cards will be treated authentic and permissible to appear in the said Examination. No Admit card will be sent by
Speed post.
2. As per practice, the Online (CBT) mode Recruitment Examination of the above mentioned post will be conducted
without pre-examination screening of the applications of the candidate with regard to their eligibility. Hence, the
candidatate will be allowed PROVISIONALLY to appear in the Online (CBT) Recruitment Examination.
3. However, the original documents of all selected candidates related to fulfilment of eligibility criteria, experience etc. (as
mentioned in the advertisement) will be verified by the Recruitment Cell before final appointment.
4. The city for examination will be allocated on the basis of order of application form, candidates choice and availability of
computer nodes. Decision of AIIMS, New Delhi in this regard will be final and no further correspondence will be
entertained in this regard.
5. All applicants are required to visit the website regularly as all subsequent Corrigendum /Addendum / Updates will only
be uploaded on the website.
