This document outlines the concepts and strategies for project development, including project identification and planning. It details the processes for conducting problem analysis and objective analysis, as well as creating a project planning matrix. Additionally, it provides an assignment for creating a group project proposal that incorporates these elements.

DEVELOPMENT BY THE END OF THIS LESSON, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:
Understand the concepts and strategies
1 of project development.
Apply the technicalities of project
2 identification and planning.
Create Problem Analysis, Objective
3 Analysis, and Project Planning Matrix. PROJECT Is a set of planned activities or measures to be carried out within a defined area of action, with specific resources to be used and within a limited timeframe. PROBLEM ANALYSIS AND PROJECT IDENTIFICATION PROBLEM Is any deviation from desirable condition, standard or expected level of performance. How to do the Problem Analysis? (The Problem Tree) Step 1 – Write up proposals for the core problems on sheets of index cards. Step 2 – Agree on one core problem. Step 3 – Write up the CAUSES of the core problem. Step 4 – Write up the EFFECTS of the core problem. Step 5 – Form a diagram showing the cause and effect relationship in the shape of a problem tree. Step 6 – Review the diagram as a whole and verify its validity. Objective Analysis is a tool used to determine the means to achieve the desirable end result. How to do the Objective Analysis? Step 1 – Reformulate all negative conditions in the problem tree into POSITIVE conditions. It should be desirable and realistically achievable. Step 2 – Form a diagram showing the MEANS and END relationship. Step 3 – Below, write the necessary ACTIVITIES to achieve the desired end. Project Planning Any activity concerned with choosing the best means to achieve a given goal. Decision making about the future. Project Planning Matrix provides information on: 1. What is the goal/purpose of the project? 2. What is/are the project output/s? 3. What are the planned activities? 4. How to measure the success of the project? 5. Where to find the data to measure the success of the project? Ø When is the start and completion dates? 6. What are the project assumptions? ASSIGNMENT Make a group project proposal paper. The project proposal paper should consist of the following information: Title Page (Follow this sample: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qpceMlzWjBc3GwSDhuJdHCq QFmjtCqWt/view?usp=sharing) Table of Contents Introduction Discuss the following: Introduction about the community needs assessment and the assigned community. Rationale or purpose of the project proposal.
