“STOP THE SPREAD OF GERMS”

Germs can be found everywhere just like covid19 virus. Germs can be found in the air, on food, plants,
and animals, in soil and water, and on nearly every other surface, including your body. The majority of
germs will not harm you. Your immune system keeps you safe from infectious agents.

Physical or social distancing, quarantining, ventilation of indoor spaces, covering coughs and sneezes,
hand washing, and keeping unwashed hands away from the face are all preventive measures. In public
places, the use of face masks or coverings has been recommended to reduce the risk of transmission.

Staying at least 6 feet away from one another can stop the spread of a disease such as Covid-19. Germs
can spread as far as 6 feet (2 meters) through droplets in the air caused by coughing or sneezing. Keep
at least 6 feet away from anyone with covid19 symptoms or anyone with a cold, flu, or infection in all
settings, both indoors and out, including school or work.

Another method of prevention is to cover one’s mouth when sneezing or coughing disease transmission.
When you cough or sneeze, you can spread germs to others. Germs can survive in the air on tiny
droplets, ready to be inhaled. They can also linger on surfaces for a long time after you have coughed or
sneezed on or near them. When you cough or sneeze, use a tissue. Throw away the tissue immediately,
and then wash your hands with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand gel.

Wearing a face covering should be a habit whenever you are in a public place. If you are not fully
immunized and are 2 or older, you should wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth in public places
indoors. A cloth face covering will not protect the wearer, but it will keep the virus from spreading to
others. The CDC recommends that people in areas with a high number of COVID-19 cases consider
wearing a mask in crowded outdoor settings for activities that require close contact with others who are
not fully vaccinated or in situations where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.

Before eating or cooking, always wash your hands. If soap and water are not available, an alcohol-based
hand sanitizer should be used. Unwashed hands should not be used to touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
When possible, avoid touching your face.
Disinfections are another method of preventing the spread of communicable diseases. Clean high touch
surfaces on a regular basis or as needed, and after having visitors in your home. This includes tables,
doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks. If
someone is sick or has tested positive for COVID-19, disinfect frequently touched surfaces.

Staying at home during this period of isolation not only protects others, but also protects yourself. This
prevents you from being exposed to others who may be carriers outside the home. When you follow the
stay-at-home order, you reduce the risk of spreading the disease.

For public health measures to be effective, all members of society must be fully engaged. Communities
and professional organizations are examples of this. All measures must be accompanied by clear,
understandable, and accessible documentation. Risk communication on a regular basis to explain the
response strategy and enable people to make informed decisions. They can protect themselves and
contribute to the public health goal of putting an end to the outbreak.
