1. Overview of the Organization

Elettromil was founded in 1984 and its activity was directed towards the construction
of magnetic components for power electronics.
The products are now used for converters, rectifiers, railway traction,
telecommunications, distribution in the naval, photovoltaic, wind energy sectors, etc.
Continuous investment in Research and Development, constant research into cost
containment, a flexible organizational structure and a company activity aimed at
improving quality and customer satisfaction allow us to ensure quality products and
excellent service at highly competitive costs.
Since 1997, Elettromil's quality system has been certified UNI EN ISO9001 for the
"Design, production and repair of transformers, medium and low voltage reactors and
small and medium metal carpentry.
All this has allowed the continuous development of Elettromil, bringing it today to an
annual turnover of approximately 50 million euros .
Elettromil is Designing and Manufacturing Transformers and Reactors on Low

2.2 Engineering
Setting all construction parameters with specific software simulations for critical
climatic conditions and special applications.
The design is made using internally developed software that are permitting the right
evaluation of all critical parameters, assessing all physical details. Heating, losses, addy
losses and magnetic fields, are so settled. Elettromil is having also software for Finite
Element Analysis to be used for special simulation, mechanical and magnetical aspects.
Elettromil, thanks to its high experience, is able to fix with extremely high accuracy all
constructive parameters keeping into account air forced, natural cooling or water
cooling (direct or indirect).
For specific requests, Elettromil is working also in co-operation with specialized
centres and Italian or foreign universities.
The manufacturing uses integrated documents with details coming out from the 2D-3D
design granting the max traceability also at document level
2.3 Manufacturing
Advanced solutions, tailor made, to optimise the product and to grant quality and
durability.
The all manufacturing process is made internally. starting on raw material controls,
manufacturing of small carpentry, cutting at 90°C of magnetic steel, in order to have low
stress, low noise and low losses, magnetic corer assembly, winding (copper and
aluminium in different shapes: flat sheet, squared conducts, litz....) made with 30
winding machines internally developed ad adapted to Elettromil and customer quality
requirements, impregnation and testing.
Varnish and paints used with specific registered processes that are also kept
under control, ensure quality and durability of the components, that are in any case all
tested before shipment.
