ISDN TO SIP CONVERSION

Pre-Requests for ISDN to SIP Conversion:

1. SIP Migration Plan Verification: Ensure a SIP Migration plan is available in the system for the
current ISDN plan. If not, create a SMAX docket and log a request with the BSNL CPC team to
generate the plan.

2. SIP Dummy Service Number Creation: Verify and confirm that the installation area for the SIP
Dummy service number (Huawei core) has been created by the BSNL OSS Team.

3. FTTH Connection Verification: If the Last Mile is set to "INTERNET" and the Last Mile Sub Type is
set to "FTTH" or "ILL", ensure that a FTTH connection with a Static IP is available in the same
customer account where the ISDN to SIP conversion order is being created.

This document is designed to guide users through the process of performing ISDN to SIP service
conversion orders on the Zsmart CRM system.

2. Objective:

The purpose of this document is to provide step-by-step instructions for users who want to
perform ISDN to SIP service conversion orders on the Zsmart CRM system.

3. Introduction:

This document is intended for users who wish to perform ISDN to SIP service conversion orders on
the Zsmart CRM system, providing a comprehensive guide to facilitate a smooth conversion
process.

ISDN TO SIP CONVERSION

Step 1: Search for Subscriber

• Log in to the Zsmart CRM System and search for the subscriber using one of the following
criteria: CA/BA/Service Number/Customer Name.

Step 2: Verify ISDN Asset Eligibility

• - Once redirected to the Subscriber page, verify that the asset with an active ISDN service is
eligible for conversion to SIP.
• - Select the ISDN asset that meets the conversion criteria.

Step 3: Initiate ISDN to SIP Conversion Order

• - Double-click on the selected ISDN asset to access the asset details page.
• - On this page, you will find the option to initiate an ISDN to SIP conversion order. Click on
this option to proceed with the conversion process.

Step 4: Select SIP Migration Plan

• - The system will redirect you to a new tab, where you can select the SIP Migration plan.
• - Choose the plan that has been created specifically for SIP migration, based on the existing
ISDN plan.
• - Note: If the SIP Migration plan is not available, please refer to Pre-Request Point 1 and
follow the process to create the plan before proceeding.

Step 5: Select Dummy Phone Number

• - In this step, select a dummy phone number that will be used for the SIP migration process.
• - Ensure that the selected dummy number is associated with the 'Huawei Core' as specified
in Pre-Request Point 2.

Step 6: Configure Last Mile Settings

• Select "Internet" as the Last Mile Type.


• Upon selecting "Internet", the system will provide options for Last Mile Sub Type. Choose
one of the following:

- BHARAT FIBER

- ILL (Internet Leased Line)

- Other ISP (Internet Service Provider)

• When configuring Last Mile settings:


- If Last Mile Type is set to "INTERNET" and
- Last Mile Sub Type is set to either "FTTH" or "ILL"
• Ensure that:
A FTTH connection with a Static IP is already available in the same customer account where
the ISDN to SIP conversion order is being created.
(This verification is a pre-requisite as mentioned in Pre-Request Point 3)

• Select one of the following Access Type options:

- Last Mile: MPLS

Upon selecting MPLS, you will have the following options:

- Dark Fiber

- FTTH (Fiber to the Home)

Step 7: Configure SIP Settings

In this step, select the following mandatory fields:

1. SIP User Device Proposed:

- SIP Server

- IP-PBX

- IVRS

- Router

2. SIP Codec:

- NO CODEC

- PCMA/PCMU

- T.38

3. VPN Type:

- OPEN VPN

- SOFTETHER VPN

Step 8: Configure SIP Main Number

Navigate to the SIP MAIN NUMBER page.

The following fields will be auto-populated with the existing values from the DID connection:

- ISDN Main Number

- DID Numbers

Verify that the auto-populated values are correct.

Step 9: Review Order Details

The order will now be redirected to the Order Preview page.

On this page, carefully review and verify the following: - All created order fields and their
corresponding values

Step 10: Tariff Information

Click the "Next" button to proceed.

The order will be redirected to the Tariff Information page.

On this page, you will be able to view and verify the tariff details associated with the order.

Step 11: Order Submission to OSS

• The order will now be submitted to the OSS (Operations Support System) with a uniquely
generated Customer Order Number.
• The order will be processed and completed at the OSS side.
