First, you need a reliable USB cable to connect your modem to a computer,

and install drivers in drivers folder.

1. Open firmware folder and extract the rar file named Huawei_E5573s-
320_Firmware_21.180.17.00.00_general
2. Make sure you connect your modem and the device is on, it will start to
upgrade automatically.
3. If the software asks for password, open code calculator folder and
open the exe file in Universal Master Code Calculator Final 2013, put
your IMEI there and click calculate, then paste flash code (important)
into the upgrade software.
4. After the upgrade, your modem will NOT working as usual, but don’t be
panic.
5. Open webUI folder and extract
Huawei_E5573s_WebUI_17.100.08.00.03_general, same procedure
as you upgrading firmware.
6. Your device will work normally.
7. Log onto 192.168.8.1, if you see official Huawei management page
rather than Optus one, means you are successful.

devices-e5573-e3372h-etc/ to change IMEI
9. Refer to https://routerunlock.com/change-repair-serial-no-huawei-v4-
devices-e5577-e5578-etc/ to change S/N
10. Refer to https://routerunlock.com/error-19-not-able-to-unlock-huawei-
e5573-router/ if your device is brick
11. All of the files used to recover your device are contained here to
prevent file downloading server failure.
12. Note: If you try to flash the firmware after you recovering your device
from brick, and upgrade software asks you for password, the IMEI you
used to calculate flash code will NOT be your original IMEI, it should be
000000000000000 (is it 15-digit? I don’t know)
