Objectives: To learn the meaning of percentages;

Percentages are, like decimals, special types of fractions with 100 as denominators.
People like to use percentages to show comparison.

Square and Square Root I (Enrichment)


Objective: To learn square and square root.

In algebra, the square of a number is the number obtained by multiplying by itself


once. For example, 25 is a square of 5 because 25 = 5 x 5.

To square a number is to multiply it by itself, and the notation for this is x2, that is,
