Assignment no. 3 : Interpersonal Skill Development; positive
Relationships, Positive Attitudes, Handling Situations.
Name: Arhan Pratap Dongare
Batch: Mechanical
Division: B
Batch: 2
PRN: 12414713
Roll no. 46
Title: "The Project Pitch: Building Interpersonal Bridges"

Setting: A conference room where a team of seven is preparing for a critical project presentation.

Characters:

1. Amodini - Team Leader (assertive, empathetic)

2. Pratham - The Detail-Oriented Member (reliable, active listener)

3. Arjun - The Innovator (open-minded, adaptable)

4. Aditya - The Analyst (emotional intelligence, collaborative mindset)

5. Arhan - The Skeptic (difference of opinion, maturity)

6. Shreya - The Mediator (respectful, empathetic communicator)

7. Disha - The Strategist (solution-focused, big-picture thinker)

Scene 1: Initial Tension

(The team gathers for a meeting to finalize their pitch. There’s a sense of urgency as the deadline is
approaching.)

Amodini: (cheerfully) Good morning, team! Let’s finalize our project pitch today. Everyone’s ideas
have been fantastic, and I’m confident we’ll ace this presentation.

Arhan: (skeptical) Fantastic? I hate to be the pessimist here, but I think we’re underestimating the
risks. Our timeline, for instance, feels unrealistic.

Arjun: (defensive) Are you serious, Arhan? We’ve been refining this for over a week. If we keep
second-guessing ourselves, we’ll never finish.

Shreya: (calmly) Let’s pause for a moment. Arhan, I hear your concern. Can you explain exactly what
feels off about the timeline?

Arhan: (reluctantly) The timeline assumes client approvals will be instant, but that rarely happens. A
single delay could throw everything off.

Disha: (nodding) That’s a valid point. While Arjun’s plan is ambitious, Arhan’s concerns highlight a
potential risk we shouldn’t ignore.

Scene 2: Navigating Differences

Aditya: (thoughtfully) True. We need a solution that balances ambition with practicality. Amodini,
how do you think we should address this?

Amodini: (assertively) I think Arhan is right to flag this. Let’s revise the timeline and add a buffer for
approvals. Arjun, would you be okay adjusting your plan?
Arjun: (sighing but agreeable) Fine. I can tweak it to include a contingency plan, but I’ll need
Pratham’s help to review the dependencies.

Pratham: (actively listening) Absolutely. I’ll double-check everything to ensure the buffer doesn’t
push us past the final deadline.

Disha: (strategically) Good idea. While you work on the adjustments, let’s also map out which
milestones can proceed independently of approvals. That way, we can keep moving forward even if
there’s a delay.

Amodini: Excellent. I love how this is coming together. Let’s move to the next agenda: structuring the
presentation.

Scene 3: Collaboration and Brainstorming

Shreya: (suggestively) How about we divide the sections based on individual strengths? Arjun, your
innovative ideas are your forte—you should handle the solutions segment.

Arjun: (smiling) I’m on it. And Arhan could take the risk analysis section since he’s already identified
the key pitfalls.

Arhan: (softening) Thanks, Arjun. I’ll make sure it’s thorough.

Aditya: I’d like to handle the financial aspect. It ties in well with the projections I’ve been working on.

Pratham: I can present the technical feasibility since I’ve been deeply involved in those details.

Disha: (strategically) Great. I’ll oversee the overall narrative to ensure it aligns with the client’s
expectations. We need to emphasize the value proposition clearly.

Amodini: Perfect. Shreya, you have a knack for clear communication. Can you craft a cohesive
opening and closing for the presentation?

Shreya: (smiling) Absolutely. I’ll make sure it leaves a lasting impression.

Scene 4: Addressing Last-Minute Challenges

(The team starts rehearsing, but midway through, a critical flaw is noticed in the financial section.)

Aditya: (frowning) Wait. I just realized our cost projections don’t account for unexpected expenses.

Arjun: (concerned) That’s a big miss. Can we fix this without reworking the entire budget?

Disha: (thinking) Let’s introduce a margin for contingency expenses. It’s a simple tweak, but it shows
we’ve thought of everything.

Pratham: (agreeing) I’ll calculate the revised figures right away. Aditya, can you integrate them into
your section?

Aditya: (nodding) On it. Thanks for catching that, everyone.

Scene 5: Positive Closure

(As the team wraps up, there’s a noticeable improvement in their dynamics.)

Shreya: This has been such a productive session. It’s great to see how everyone’s ideas are aligning.
Pratham: Agreed. It’s amazing what we can achieve when we listen to each other and work as a
team.

Disha: (smiling) And staying focused on the big picture ensures we don’t get stuck in the details.

Amodini: Absolutely. This is what teamwork looks like—respecting each other’s perspectives while
aiming for a common goal. Let’s practice the pitch tomorrow. Great work, team!

(The team disperses with a renewed sense of purpose and camaraderie.)

Key Highlights:

Emotional Intelligence: Shreya recognizing and addressing Arhan’s concerns.

Open-Mindedness: Arjun accepting changes to his timeline.

Active Listening: Pratham carefully considering and responding to feedback.

Solution-Focused Thinking: Disha offering strategic adjustments.

Respect and Empathy: Team members valuing each other’s opinions.

Assertive Leadership: Amodini leading decisively yet inclusively.

Collaborative Mindset: Everyone contributing based on their strengths.

challenges through collaboration and mutual respect.
